    Training Dilemma

    To disable ads, please log-in.

So I'm training for a half marathon and I need to have run 7 miles yesterday but of course there was 30 mph gusts of wind and a high of 22 degrees and a windchill of negative numbers. I'm pretty tough but OMG that's freaking cold.

So... here it is Monday and I need to do my long run today however, this coming Saturday is my first road race of the season. I don't want to miss my long run because I've worked hard to get to this point. For the record, I am NOT a runner so I really have to work at it. Any tips on how to handle this week of training for the marathon without annihilating my legs before this weekends races? I would greatly appreciate your advice

Is 7 miles your long run? If so, do it today, but stick to the bike the rest of the week.
