Deleting exercises from Garmin forerunner 305?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Is there a way to delete exercises from the unit in the software? My Polar software allows me to delete exercises after I have downloaded them. I haven't been able to find a way to do that with the Garmin.

I can delete them using the unit itself. But I'd like to be able to do it from the software.

    Thanks,

    Veronica

Do you mean delete the activity in history?

Hang on a sec and I'll do it on mine and record what I do.

Press mode button until you see a menu listing "history"
    Enter
Use up/down arrows to select delete
    Enter
Use up/down arrows to select time period
    Enter

Editing because I just did that on my Edge, but it works the same way on my Forerunner.

Ok, I didn't see the part about deleting using GTC. I avoid that POS.

    Deleting Items

You can delete any folder you have created in History, Workouts, or Courses. You cannot delete the four default folders (Running, Biking, Other, and MultiSport).

You can delete weeks, activities, and individual laps from the History window.

You can delete any workouts from Workout Mode.

    To delete an item:

Click the item you want to delete.

Click the Delete icon or press the Delete key on your keyboard. The item is deleted.

NOTE: Items deleted in Garmin Training Center are not deleted from your device. If you do not delete unwanted items from your device, they will be transferred to Garmin Training Center again the next time you transfer your history.

I thought she meant, can you delete stuff from the unit itself using the GTC software commands to do so? I can delete from the unit, using the buttons on the unit. I can delete from the downloaded stuff on GTC, using the edit/delete command. I can't find any command in the GTC software that says, "Delete activities from the unit".

I don't know of any way to do that.

See, it never occurred to me, but now I see it would be simpler to be able to do it that way. Darnit!

    Thanks guys!

I can delete stuff from my Polar using the software so I was hoping I could do the same with the Garmin. But I guess not. I think we're going to be using Sport Tracks rather than GTC.

It's really Thom's Garmin for cycling and mine for running.
