    Beautiful Day for A Ride!

    Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had as good weather as we did here! It was great going out for a long beautiful ride (no work, no school, just mountains). We did about 20 miles of mtbiking today and it was great. Hubby took some pictures. I love going down this trail, not so much climbing up it (ok, in general I prefer going down). Most of our mountain trails are rocky, providing for maximum fun potential. Hope you all had a great riding weekend!

woohoo Steph!!! good for you!! I would reconize that yellow helmet anywhere!! where is this trail btw?

I had a blast Sat morning, thanks to you and Edna again. That was some pretty rugged riding and I can't wait to do it again! who knows, maybe this time I'll make it up more of those hills....and even down that one I had to walk partway!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Flawlessly gorgeous day here, too! Blue skys and 75 degrees. We rode the I & M canal trail and had a blast! Ah, summer!

Smile Finally out of the depths of winter...

If I ever decide to emerge from retirement I am going into the field of weather forecast. What other career can you have where you are *wrong* and still keep your job?

We were suppose to have rain this holiday week-end but other than a few light sprinkles we did not have to spend anytime indoors watching the rain.

Al & I hurried home from 'up north' yesterday morning (leaving Al & I to spend one quiet evening after all the excitement of a long family week-end) to say good-bye to children who had come home on Sunday and were heading home. As soon as the kids were out of the driveway we pulled out the road bikes and went for a 30 mile ride. We were momentarily disappointed when we stopped at our favorite coffee/ice cream place only to find they were closed (oh yeah ... it IS a holiday). No matter ... we biked down to the local drive-in for root beer floats. What an awesome way to finish off a great week-end.

I loved the photos Snowtulip and Nuthatch ... wish I had a photo to share of our beautiful weather and the gorgeous Wisconsin scenery ... will add that to my list for later in the week!
    On Yer Bike!
