why didn't they use a Huffy?
But who'd want to use a Huffy as a commuter? Cover the Felt...enjoy your ride, and prying eyes don't see what you've got.
I have a neighbor who has his bike (don't recall what it is, but it's a nice frame) covered with black electrical tape!
It is to protect the frame from nicks and dings (but not, I guess, tape goo
) and also to hide the frame from coveting eyes. But...my big problem with that: if thieves know folks cover up "nice" bikes with junk, then chances are...if you steal a stickered, taped, re-painted bike, you'll be getting a nice(r) frame. So, there goes that measure out the window.
That said....while I see the value of a fully reflective bike, I think it's a bit overkill. I'd love it if manufacturers made their labels of reflective tape, and the various pin-striping and other decorative decals. I'm not sure if a clear coat over them would nix the reflectivity, but that'd be my preference if anyone cared to hear it!
