    Denise, Utica? a small world

    Hi Denise,
I was reading the boards the other day then got really busy here at work and I have not had a chance to write this when I wanted to.

I read in one of the posts, now I forget where that you have family in Utica, NY. I also have family there. My Mom came from there then married and moved here to Long Island. So my Grandmother (93yrs young), Aunts, Uncles and cousins are still all in Utica. They own the pharmacy Parkway Drugs which you might be familiar with.

I just thought you might like to know as these type of things make you think of what a small world it is.

Wow - it really is a small world. My Dad owns a business in Utica (Northern Glass Systems), and my folks live outside of Utica - out Oneida Street a ways, don't even know the town name because they use my Dad's business as a mailing address. But it's in the hills...

And I do remember Parkway Drugs.

I am glad I posted. It is certainly a small world. I remember seeing a sign for Herkimer on our way to Utica. Unfortunately I have been to Utica in many years. My Grandmother comes once a year to spend a week with my mother and My aunts and uncles have come to visit, just recently for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My husband own a retail business so we don't get much in the way of time off.
