I just want to express my appreciation for this site--I received wonderful support and ideas on my very first question on the boards, and as I search and read other posts, I really feel like I am learning a lot!
With that being said, I would like some suggestions on how to inflate my tube after a flat-I'm not very strong in 1 arm, so I find it VERY difficult to inflate my tire enough to continue for any significant distance . Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!

Co2 for the initial inflate anyway, you'd have to back it up with some air since CO2 leaks out of the tube faster - but CO2 is a great idea!
Also some pumps are easier to pump than others - to the point where you don't have to force much of anything - course you pay more for them, but I'd say in your case it'd be worth it.
Check out the Topeak Morph pump......... not cheap, but it works. It can be carried on your bike, like a frame pump, but when you use it, it has a "foot" on it, just like a regular floor pump so you get fairly decent leverage when you use it. The deluxe model come with a built-in gauge so you even know when you have enough air pressure.

is leaking CO2 sort of like the strorage air you put in your tires for winter?

Over time - not immediately!
Where are the molecular scientists when you need them? Isn't a CO2 molecule larger than an 02 molecule (or N2 for our regular old air)? Wouldn't that make it harder for the CO2 molecular to run screaming out of the tube looking for liberation?![]()
