I know this isn't for ME... but I just bought some this weekend.
So far, I have had a hard time getting clipped into them. I have to press really hard on my right foot to get it to snap.
Otherwise, all seemed good!

Hi Denise & Emily,
Just thought I would up date you on how I made out with the Speedplay Frogs after giving them a good testing with a 30 mile ride yesterday.
Although I did not have any hills to climb with this ride, I did have stop and go as I rode on the streets, across intersections etc. They worked out fine. Clipping in couldn't be better and clipping out was fine without using any effort to speak of, but my fear of my foot detaching from the pedal unexpectedly never happened. I think these will work out just fine. I am riding my first metric in Connecticut in a few weeks and if the starting point has a bit of grid lock cyclists I feel confident that I will not have a problem clipping out quickly if need be.
Thank you both once again for all your imput and suggestions.
Emily, I hope you are continuing to feel better.

Hey, that's great! I've been so happy with my Frogs that I can't imagine using anything else - I'm glad they are working out well for you.Originally Posted by Jo-n-NY

KSH, The message was really info for anyone interested. I just directed it to Denise and Emily because they had responded to my prior post. I should have titled this differently. Sorry.Originally Posted by KSH
Are these your first clipless pedals? I had spd's and I feel I put much less effort when clipping with the Frogs in fact a slight press of my foot and I am clipped. Do you think your foot may not be aligned in the right spot? Sometimes I have to go by moving my foot around a bit and then it clips right in. I thought clipping out was too easy and ended up calling the 1-800 # for Speedplay and the guy was really nice in educating me about the pedals.

No... not my first... I was on SPD's for the first 300 miles on my bike (that is really all I have on the bike!).Originally Posted by Jo-n-NY
I switched.. because trying to get the cleat in perfect alignment to make my knees feel good...was becoming a serious hassle.
I only rode 5 miles on the new peddals... I am sure with more time... I will find clipping in a lot eaiser!
I do know that getting out was easier! Which is nice! I wasn't so good in getting out of my other clips in extreme situations!
KSH, do you have any dry lube (White Lightening...)?
Put a little on the little bar springs in the cleat. Since you're not covering them when you walk around they will be more likely to pick up ground yuck.
Get thee to the store for the coffee cup covers.![]()

I'm so glad to hear that the Frogs are working for you now. I honestly had never heard a bad thing about them from numerous folks who use them, so I felt sure you'd love them very soon!

There you go getting all technical on me... sounds like more stuff I will have to buy... I will talk to the bike shop about it when I go in tomorrow!Originally Posted by spazzdog
