In case you didn't get the link:
Info on next year's ride (in May...hopefully a tad warmer and dryer!) and pix of this year's ride (not very good, but perhaps you can spot someone you know).

I'm in also for another bike/kayak weekend. Especially since they're going to take all of my suggestions--porta potties, bagels, and PB&J!

Let's hope the weather cooperates next year.

Are you all doing any other rides of a similar length this spring/summer? I'm new to biking, but looking to do some rides in the DC area of the 50+ mile range...

    Here's a good listing: http://ohbike.org/events/index.htm

I plan to do the Patuxent River metric ride on June 7th (but it's the day after I get back from a business trip to Colorado...so I'm not sure).

Calendars, calendars - why aren't there more weekends during cycling season??? I won't be there, though Pax River is not all that far from my mom's. It is the first day of my MS150 ride - the Tour de Vine...

    Nutella?

still thinking about that from SheGotBike

    I got no 'yak.
I wouldn't mind meandering the Wildlife Area and doing some shooting, though.

You'll have to give us the heads-up for early registration.

Zen I have an extra kayak so if we can get you over this way, I can lend a boat and paddle.

I hear bikes and kayaks calling....

Jane, it's the WGC I want to do - again - May 3. The thread got a little confusing...

I got an email this week from Terry cycles about the registration of the 2009 WGC in MD. It said it is open to 700 entries, and there were 300 already signed up when the email was sent. I signed up along with my cycling partner. NOw to work on hotel reservations for the area. I dont have a kayak (yet) but they were doing a kayak outing the day before so the email said. Besides, would the hotels allow kayaks and bikes to be in the rooms? I have no way to lock up a kayak, and my bike has never spent a night out side and I don't ever plan on letting her do that. I think the date for the ride was May 3rd but don't quote me.
