Well, after a fashion. We bought the tandem in April about the time I started my new job mid-month. So I didn't do too much riding - just trying to get my legs going again after 25 years off a bike. We started the one way commute trial in May a few days (DH rode in without me and I met him after work for the ride home). June was rainy and other things that we can't remember, but started the 2-way commute. July had me commuting 50% of available days. And August worked out to commute 10 of 17 available days. And the miles for all this started at 44 in April all the way up to 335 in August! So I've done about 770 miles since we've had the bike! Part of that includes a long ride up to Leesburg (well, long for me...) with a stay overnight before the ride back. I've bought some cool weather things to wear, so we'll see how I do when the weather changes.

Wow! Good for you and it's inspirational to hear you're back cycling after 25 years off. Big thumbs up!
Life is like a 10 speed bike, we all have gears we never use.

"The bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and, when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community." — Ann Strong, Minneapolis Tribune, 1895
