    Geocaching!

I've just started a 10-Travel Bug series related to bikes. "Bike Shop Groupie" and "BEADecked and BEADazzling Bikes" are the first two. They have photo goals. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1646090 http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1646031

Thinking of having a couple with geographic goals (RAGBRAI? Austin TX? Bike races?), and cache type goals.

    Any groovy ideas for me?

Edit: oh, and if y'all could post pics here of how you mount your GPSr to your bike, that'd be mighty cool.

Le Tour? Shouldn't be too difficult to get a TB to somewhere in France for the TdF.

    edit: love the beads!

While Red Bridge is good, shouldn't it be on a Fat Tire?

I don't mount mine, it's either clipped onto my person or I hold it. More often than not it's clipped onto the baby backpack, I do a lot of my 'caching on foot.

I dunno, maybe biking destinations, meaning roads or trails regularly traveled by bikers? That would make it easier to find caches to drop it in.
    Or not.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

I'm thinkin' TB #3 will be a cache type goal: caches along or near bike trails.

    Gotta build some bugs!

(Redbridge is what I had in the house... but yeah, Fat Tire would've been better!)

This one looks like fun! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache...a-9bd912d09d7c Who lives in Davis CA? Anyone done this cache?

I gotta do this one soon, right here in my neck of the woods: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache...1-1e6dbc0b3c29 Assuming it's still there... no finds since winter.
(hey, maybe this could be a TE event?)

Need to drop a Travel Bug off in a cache (dunno which one yet) this Saturday, sometime in the morning.

Anybody interested in a quick one or two cache run in north King Co/Seattle?

    PM me.

Added two more bike bugs to my stable today: Bits for Bikes http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1646079 and Bike Trail Boogaloo http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1646036

Retrieved a very spiffy Geocoin this morning from a cache near a waterfall. Cooool!

What a hoot! Victoria's was a flash mob/freeze/event cache all in one. The looks on tourists' faces were priceless.

    200!

My 200th cache find today! We did 13 caches in honour of my birthday Aug 13.
Still waiting to hear of my TB "Vive le Tour" made it to France in time for the TdF. It supposedly was given by a cacher to a non-cacher friend who was going to the TdF as a spectator. Hope it made it.

    Whoo-hooo! Congratulations!
I'm focussing on travel bugs right now. Next one will be another bike themed one, involving a Starbucks card. I'll probably call it "Bike Fuel". (trying to make every TB have the word "bike" in it somewhere)
