Talking First ride on new bike

Today was my first ride on m beautiful new ferreni and my longest ever ride Friday night my BF had his company summer party, I left my car at his office so we could go in one car (his office is about 1/2 way to where the party is and I don't know my way to where the party was held). At the end of the night I ended up having to drive home.
So today we decided to kill two birds with one stone and ride our bikes to get my car. BF was going to ride home to get some more training in.
On our way we were riding along the bike path through the fields (nice and pretty) we were on the right and came round a corner and were heading past a shelter. A mother and daughter were on the other side (small girl) on their bikes, kid cuts in front of BF who luckily stopped in time (really good, as we didn't want to hurt her and it would be rather hard to explain to the girls mom that she just cost us at least 1,000 euro for my boyfriends carbon fiber wheels).
We got to the office in one piece and we managed to not really get rained on
BF came home with me as a storm was just about to start.
All in all we did about 25 miles in about 2 hours.
Bike was great but saddle not so much, when we get back from our holiday I'm going to the (sort of) LBS to get a saddle to try out. with was fine for my bones, but a bit to wide for m legs (edge cut into my thigh) and my lady parts were not happy!! I'm thinking a cut out will work wonders. Does anyone know if the cut outs on guys saddles work for women as well. I'm guessing yes.

    saddle cutouts

I struggled with saddles and the wide noses of multiple womens saddles in particular-- one day i rode a guy friend's mtn bike and OMG what a difference! - so i ride now both a men's mtn bike saddle and for my road bike a mens cutout terry liberator race - no problems AT ALL since I changed over to the mens' models-- so much better for me--

A lot of us ride men's saddles and do fine with them. But there are many many saddles! good luck with that!
