I recently rode 15 miles with my friend who is 11 weeks post knee replacement.
She had much the same response as you, just so happy to be back out pedaling again.

I finally made it outside for some training after battling a horrid sinus and ear infection for nearly a week now.
I tried my hardest to "ease" back into it starting with a short ride on the bike so as to not set my self off on a coughing spree. Going out later in the evening was perfect. Temperatures had cooled and the tips of the clouds were still illuminated by what was left of the setting sun which made for a beautiful ride.
All I can say is WOOHOO!!! It's good to be 70% healthy. Hopefully more health to come soon and I can get back to swimming and running.
Thought I would share. Keep training ladies! (And you guys who lurk too)

I'm glad that you are on the mend. Hopefully you'll be back to 100% very soon!
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...
