road bike recomendations

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy my first road bike I currently have a hybrid Trek and I love it. I am looking to get a road bike for rides either by myself or with my husband when we can leave the kids with someone. The delima I am facing is which one to get. My local bike store has the Trek 1.2 and Jamis Quest and I have found a Cannondale online that I love. Which would you recomend?

Lots of good info and support here.
I recommend to go to several different bike stores and do little test rides on various road bikes, and take notes on how they feel. Ask questions.
Different women do well on different road bikes, depending on their body shape, riding goals, age and condition, budget, personal taste, lots of factors.
Have some fun test riding!- it really helps you get a feel for what will suit you.
