    Racks

Alright. I am riding my mother's bike. It is a 1972 or 1973 Motobécane Mirage (I think. At some point my sister painted it with white housepaint, but I can see Mirage coming through as well as some name that starts with an "M" and my mom remembers it's a French bike). Luckily, at the time of the purchase my mom was about an inch taller, maybe 10 pounds heavier, and almost exactly the same shape as I am now. Anyway, I'm really sick of having this godforsaken backpack on my back, especially since I'm moving out of the dorms (I'm a freshman in college) and will have to buy groceries.

SO. There are eyelets on the...chainstay? Well, in the middle of the rear wheel region. I was reading some instructions for installing a rack that referred to eyelets around the seat or something as well, and I don't see these. Could someone advise me on how to see if I can put on a rack at all, etc.?

    ----Additionally----
There's a free bike repair shop on campus, so if I bought one, they would help me put it on. I don't want to go in and find out it's impossible and already have purchased one, though. I saw some panniers on Craigslist, so I'm kind of looking to get goin' on this. [ http://bellingham.craigslist.org/bik/663075326.html ]

With a smile like that, I gotta flirt.
Girl, you look like you just got off work.
