Ok- maybe someone here can answer this question for me. I currently have a Trek 720 with flat bars and twist shifters. I want to put trekking bars on it for touring, but don't know if I can still use the twist shifters. Will they fit in the ends of the trekking bars? Will they still twist? I know so little about this, and I could just take it to the LBS, but I thought I'd ask here first. I want to learn to do things on my own without always going to the LBS for my rescue. The bars will fit on my stem, but I just don't know if you can plug in the twist shifter to the end of the trekking bars.
Thanks, ladies.
These are the bars that I want to change my flat bar to:
