Question Cue Sheets of Local Area Rides

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I'm trying to prepare for longer rides, but I can't find my way out of a paper bag. Does anyone know where to find cue sheets for Washington and Oregon? Or maybe point me towards a site that has saved routes on them.

I've found these two sites so far:
    http://www.seattlebiketours.org/members/library.html
    http://www.pedaling.com/index.asp

I've also checked Cascade's site, but didn't find anything.

    Thanks in advance,
    ~Sg

    Hey Sgtiger -
I've got a bunch of maps/cue sheets from WA rides that I've done over the years...how 'bout I make some copies to give you this Saturday?

    Olympic Peninsula

Here are some trail maps out on the Peninsula for mountain bike rides, in case you are venturing into that: http://www.mikes-bikes.net/area-trails/

And, for a couple of great road rides over here, if you were looking for a good day trip to some new routes, there are the metric and the full century routes for the Olympic Cycling Classic. Not sure if that is on for this year or not, and their website is not activated right now. But, the maps and cue sheets were very good. If you PM me, I think I can put you in touch with the woman who could email you the goods, as she was an organizer. (This ride was a fundraiser for a school that has been closed now...).

Also, if you ever just want to come over and do a ride together, or get some route info from me, feel free to PM. Right now my favorite routes are still a bit gravelly, but it is slowly getting better. Been a snowy year.

    SadieKate - Why, no, I've haven't. I'll give it a try. Thank-you.

Mary - You're awesome! I'd very much appreciate that. See you Saturday.

Starfish - Thanks for the info and your offer. I'd definitely love to hook-up sometime. Just keep in mind I'm a slow rider.

Drtgirl - That sounds familiar. I got lost in Redmond today. I wasn't supposed to be in Redmond. Hehe!

    Hi again,
Just got the Cascade email today and they included a link for cue sheets and maps for the Cascade Training ride series..here you go:http://cycleuniversity.com/CTS.html

Looks like it's from Craig Undem and Cycle U...many of the local loops and routes that I was going to dig out for you, so let me know if this helps, ok?

Mary, that's just the kind of thing I was looking for! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! I probably won't need the photocopies anymore, unless there is a super fun ride that you want to share. With those and the routes on seattebiketours and bikely.com, I'll have more than enough routes from which to choose.

Now I just need to work on treating my directional disability. DH is threatening to purchase me an aid(i.e. GPS); and if that still doesn't help me find my way home, he's gonna implant a beaconing chip under my skin and tattoo our address on my forehead.

Good, glad it'll work as I took a peek and they've even set up the cue sheets to be able to be neatly folded and easier to handle, view and stow on a ride -sweet!
Also, Linda isn't able to come on Saturday, but you 2 should chat, as I kid her about being directionally-challenged also! Last year, she rode in the Empire State AIDS ride too, and I was heard to offer her a chip implantation (she'd get to choose which cheek!), so that she wouldn't go riding north into Canada or East to Boston, while the rest of us were headed to NYC!

LOL! Yeah, that totally sounds like something I would actually do. Knowing me I wouldn't even realize it, until I'd passed Quebec or ended up in the Atlantic.

I'm finally starting to treat my car-cripple-ness, so it's only a matter of time that I'll be able to overcome - or at least, manage it a bit better - this disability too. One day(ride?) at a time, I guess.
