DH and I cruised down to the shop.
I forgot to charge my Garmin (again) and ended up keeping it in my jersey pocket, attached to my Energi-to-go, until I sucked the life out of those lithium batteries, and the Garmin itself died soon thereafter. I've got to be better about charging it.
BUT....
For the 25 miles or so it did record, it showed me a max speed of 847.4 mph!!!(that's about 1,360 kph for our metric sisters!)
Yes.....just call me the Queen of Speed!![]()

(as the snow clears lots of 'em are showing... and it's a good stretch after one or two or three of those interval things...)

The further east I rode the windier it got. Around the baseball stadium I got into a sandstorm. good thing I was wearing a matte finish helmet. Had some more dust storms going up to the park where the women's ride meets. We decided it was too windy and canceled the ride , so I rode west to escape the wind. Of course I then found the afternoon breeze coming in from the ocean. I turned around and came , but not before getting a flat
I need MUCHO practice here
