But this is a non-ride. Today I was supposed to start work an hour early. I took BART (light rail) and got off at the transfer. Much to my chagrin the next train was over 25 minutes away. That would put me late for the meeting.

So I left the station and walked halfway around the lake to work. Got there early enough to stop and have coffee. Thank G*d for cycling.

After work I went to the gym, rowed some and lifted. Boy am I out of shape but it felt good to lift.

We got a foot of snow here in MA yesterday. Snowed like crazy all afternoon. So, of course we had to go out and give it a go... Tough workout though!

    Wow, Cathy...
Well, my ride was supposed to be a hike in Estabrook Woods. I went with a friend who does fitness walking every day, but she's not really athletic. It was great to be out in the middle of the storm, but when we got to the trail, it was totally iced under the snow. Although I would have ventured in, my friend was scared we would fall, so we went to walk up by the North Bridge. That was flooded out, so we decided to just walk on the road for about 2 miles. Not a lot of exercise, but it was a lot of fun.
Now, today, I'll be on my snow shoes or skis.

Oh Zen - show us show us show us!!!!!

Just got off my bike - on the trainer. 36 degrees and showers threatening. I spent 1 hour, 50 minutes riding the 1999 Tour de France with Lance instead of venturing out.

Rode 22 miles today so I could buy a pair of shorts that say *Harlot* across the backside in bright red embroidery.

    Yeah, baby...

(I rode home from the LBS in these shorts. They are FABUOLOUS! My new favorite baggies!)

Harlot - another purchase of mine that went awry.
The tee shirt would fit an eight grader but the carmen -x shorts will fit nicely when i go up one size.

For the bike purchase see this . Mine is last years model but I dodn't think much has changed. Got a cargo rack in the deal too.

    It will be fine

Grasshopper, grasshopper. No one is to blame for new bikes. One is simply the leaf, floating on the stream. Bikes are inevitable.
