Anyone thaw out enough to ride again today? Brrrrrr!! I decided to go for a little ride and got 7.76 miles in. I looked a little dorky with mini goggles but hey, it's a workout, right?

Sigh. My bike is at the shop getting it's tuneup. But won't it be nice when it's all spiffed up!

It was a little on the cool side, I think it was about 30. I decided to head out for a 10 mile ride but was feeling great so I extended it to 27 miles. Had a great time.

I managed to get in 22 miles on a windy cold day. Not a lot, but felt virtuous given the weather. I could/would have done more, but DH phoned that he was in and cold so I let him pick me up.

Our morning club ride was cancelled, and 4 of us showed up for the afternoon club ride. It was in the 40s w 15-20 mph winds. I made the mistake of not wearing my new wool. I had it on, and did a test ride in my neighborhood after making some bike adjustments, and decided that I was overdressed. But it was much windier where we were riding from so I really wished I had brought it. Oh well, next time.....

Managed 21 miles after almost a week off the bike due to some kind of bug. Temps were in the high 30s and I did get drizzled on a bit. Did my usual tour of the lovely Interurban trail and was thrilled to note that the infamous pedestrian/bike bridge to nowhere (over I-5) is in the process of acquiring ramps. YAY! That will mean that cyclists will no longer have to brave crossing (against traffic, on the sidewalk) three extremely busy and dangerous on/off ramp lanes to get across the highway. Also rode past a group of kids poking around in a ditch near the Alderwood mall with a King 5 news camera and Bernard Choy reporting live from the scene. I'll have to watch the news and find out what that was all about...

I toodled on the Burke Gilman after the LBS did a little work on my commuter. (I paid them in beer.) Just 4 miles. Rode to Gasworks and looked out over Seattle and south Lake Union and a float plane taking off.

The sun was shining on Queen Anne hill and it was just lovely.

I watched DH compete in a Duathalon- it was 31 degrees at the start but sunny and no wind. After that I came home and slept most of the afternoon, I have been worn out and just listened to my body.

I did not ride today do to the massive remodeling project taking place in my kitchen. What a mess! My legs needed a day of rest for I've not taken a day off my bike since Dec 30th. I'll return to the trainer tomorrow for it is just to darn cold outside for this weather wimp.
