I was mounting my cycling computer onto the bike I'm building, and I noticed a very peculiar thing. The wireless transmitter which goes on the fork for my blackburn delphi 6.0 computer looks a lot like the one I used 7-9 years ago from Sports Instrument. casing is identical, the battery inside is identical...
Whats the chance??? they both use coded transmission... but why not give it a try. Can't hurt.
Well I be... The sports instruments SI90 transmitter was recognized by my blackburn. And I looked at my HRM transmitter. The strap and the plastic piece with the electronic is identical between the two. So I'm sure they are the same.
So did blackburn buy out Sports Instruments? Anyway, this means I can use the blackburn on two different bicycle. yipee!!!
One for the road bike the second one for TT bike when I get it.
on side note:
I'm building a second bike with the same exact k2 mod 6 frame small size with same xero-lite wheel ... only difference is I'm installing slightly used (10miles) Dura-Ace with FSA SLK 170mm crank. Other than the Dura-Ace everything is brand new. Hope to have it on e-bay on Thanksgiving weekend. Oh the saddle for my k2 and the one I will be selling is Specialize toupe with red trim.
The K2 geometry is within 1/8" of Orbea Dama race. k2 is advertised as 48cm my Dama Race is 53cm.
Oh I have no plan on starting a bike biz. This was just a lark. Don't know if I'm going to make any money.
