I've decided to sell my bike, need some help!

I've pretty much decided to sell my recumbent (Giro 20). I know I need to get a list of its components together to include in the ad I post. How much does a bike depreciate each year? This is a 2007 small frame which I had powdered coated, the components are mainly Shimao and the bike has about 1500 miles on it.

In all honesty I have no idea how much is wrapped up in this bike because exBF purchased the frame on an employee PO, parts were taken off a recumbent which was given to him and I never saw any paperwork on this bike less the one invoice which came with an item shipped directly to my house. It is a mess I know. I simply want to get some money out of this bike to put toward the purchase of a new road bike (looks like my trustly little blue bike can not be repaired). So if you have any suggestions, ideas, etc please share them. This is a whole new ballgame for me. I don't want to take anyone to the cleaners and at the same time I don't want be taken either.

    Thanks!

Different bikes lose value at different rates. That's not an easy question to answer. Contact a store that sells recumbents?

Put it on Craig's list, ask what you want, and if no one responds, try a lower price?

I sold my Bianchi Veloce in 3 days on Craigslist.

for six tanks of gas you could have bought a bike.
