I have now been on the road for almost two months. And I don't mean riding my bike, working EVERY single day no time off. I did have 6 days off at the end of july but I was setting up an accounting system for our business so I didn't even get one bike ride in!
I miss my kitty's, my fridge, my bed, my yard, my sun sets, my bike, I guess you could say i miss everything. I have my hubby with me which makes it easier but.....
I have 6 more days here in Pueblo, Co and I get almost a month off! i am going to give myself a couple days and then start riding again.
I want a BIG farmers market salad too! I will post pictures of our sand sculpture project here when I get home. We are doing Alice in wonderland.
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Hi Brandi, I know how much you must miss home; your kitties and your bike. I sure was glad I got to meet you in So. Calif. Best wishes to your DH too.
oh, hey! i think i saw your sand art! i was in philly, forget why (the acs bike-a-thon?) and saw some really big sand art and said to myself, 'i'll have to ask brandi if that was hers!?'

My kitty's get into all the treats, knock stuff down and make a big mess out of the house. My two keep eachother busy. But my poor Willow is the one who wishes she could get away from the other two. She loves outside. But I would worry to much so they stay inside while we are away. My friends take care good care of them for me too.
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Well, this post contains your inspiration for your next sculpture...Dorothy clicking the ruby slippers saying "I wanna go home!"

Brandi -- I know how you feel. Early in my career, I traveled overseas on trips that were no shorter than two weeks in duration (multiple countries each trip). We would fly out on Sundays (on our own time, of course) and then have to immediately go to the Embassy to start working. No recovery from jet lag allowed and we'd work 12 hour days. One particular trip to Romania was awful---the hotel was a pit, there were bullet holes in the curtains from the revolution, no shower curtain in the bathroom, and two of my traveling companions awful (one was a moody mean woman and the other, a socially backward engineer!). LOL. When I got back to the US, I wanted to kiss the ground!!
Take heart---you'll be home soon.
