Just looking for bar ends for my 7.2FX....

Yep, the roadie bug bit me I am getting ready for BRAG lite this week, and noticed the longer I ride, my hands get numb. So I went to the LBS for bar ends, thinking that I would add them on to get through the ride this week. I didn't know "these" could be so expensive! After 5 LBS's and multiple bike rides on road bikes, I left the store with a LeMond Alp d' Huez WSD! SWEET! Of course my justification is that it was on sale! The guys at FreeFlite pointed me at a sub-division and said "enjoy the test ride", knowing I would be pleased with the result. For 5'7", I was surprised how much more comfortable the WSD geometry is. So if you see a "plump tomato" on a LeMond this week, It's me!

ooh that is nice. Now you can have a sturdy commuter and a bike for those long roads and club rides. Great that you are instantly comfortable on it.

Wow, those bar ends can be pricey!

LOL but I think you got your money's worth, that's a great looking bike. Have fun and enjoy all those hand positions!

That looks a lot like my Pilot. Is it a 2007 model?

I just looked at the specs. You probably have a slightly better grade aluminum in the frame and you have front Ultegra (Pilot 1.2 is Tiagra)
You've got to get rid of that Bontrager saddle, though.

Yep, I heard the bikes calling. Thanks for the advice on the saddle, Zen. It got replaced with the Terry off my hybrid. The hybrid has a Serfas on it now. Bontrager was not nice to me in the rash dept previously. I also moved my clipless over temporarily till I can get another set in the right "color"!

I quickly took her for a spin this afternoon - all I can say is Yeah Baybee! I hope I am saying that after 50 miles this week.

I also looked at a Pilot. But it was a bit unfair, as I was unable to try one in a similar size.

    Happy trails!

    p.s. it's a 2007.
