    Smile Spinning Ideally

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I decided to join because I liked the advise you all had for someone new to spinning. I am not that new to spinning but I have to fight instructors that I considered not to be very knowledgeable in what they ask you to do. Regarding your standing and running, sometimes they don't only ask you to do that, but they do it after a hard climb when your legs are tired.

Could someone please tell me if there is an ideal breakdown or the maximum time that you should maintained any given position. In order to obtain your best possible results.

    Thanks

Different instructors all have their own choreography. If you need more recovery time, take it. It's your ride, you don't have to do each and every thing the instructor says.

Did you know there's a section of the forum dedicated to spinning?
Just scroll farther down, you should see it.

Ditto that. If an instructor is asking you to do something that just feels "wrong" to your body, then don't do it or modify it in some way. I have an instructor who likes us to spin really fast at a high resistance level. I totally disregard that instruction because I'd like to keep my knees happy and healthy. In my experience, most instructors don't build in enough "recovery" after a hard effort, so I often add my own. It helps to use an HRM for this though. Also, I would suggest talking to your instructor if there's something he or she is asking you to do that doesn't make sense. They might welcome the feedback.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
