    Try bibs cheap!

    Hey, gals—

Just wanted to share a link on eBay to a seller who seems to have a pretty deep supply of closeout Trek women's bibs in the full size run. I had been wanting to try the waistband-free magic of bibs but didn't want to pay too much in case I didn't like the feel. I saw that this woman was selling Trek bibs for $33 (Buy it Now price; about $40 with shipping) and I thought it was totally worth the gamble. I ended up liking them so much I immediately bought another pair from her as a backup—I may never wear shorts again! I've noticed some other women here asking about bibs, so I thought I'd share the 411.

While Trek no longer offers a women's bib—the tag on these was copyrighted 1999!—these are well-made 8-panel jobs that yield all-day comfort in my experience with them so far. And for those who are concerned that Trek logos will clash with their bikes, don't worry, they're oh-so-subtly branded only inside the leg grips. Oh, and I have no idea why the seller places the straps so jauntily across the nipples of her mannequin (see her pics), but rest assured that I and my D-cup breasts don't feel at all impinged by the straps.

How did you know what size to buy? This seems like a great deal and I like the look of the chamois.

    sizing

I bought the same size I buy in Pearl Izumi shorts, and I would say they are similarly proportioned, so if you're familiar with PI sizing, the same should suit here. The chamois is quite soft, and I haven't had any chafing issues in several weeks of wear.

    Hey, Suzbyrd—

I haven't experienced any chafing myself. The chamois is pretty nicely finished, feels like one smooth panel to me, and I have a bit more derriere than most of y'all, I'm sure.
