My 16 miles included a first for me. I stopped for a water break and realized I'd forgot my water. Good thing temps were only 80 and I was planning on a short ride. The water bottles were ready to go sitting in my freezer. My brakes got a good workout descending a hill and still maxed out at 37mph. Going down the hill the crosswind, traffic in back of me and trying to stay in control coming into town traffic makes my heart beat faster than going up the hill.
