    Update on my cat

Just wanted to update everyone on Tiger's health. We got her the iodine treatment in mid Dec and last week I took her back for follow up blood work. She is doing awesome. The blood work came back great, no issues at all. We were expecting her to still have some liver issues because she's had those for so long, but her liver is fine. She told us to finish the rest of the pills we have for her, and than will be it for the pills. However, she would like us to keep her on the fish oil. She also told us to give is about a month to let her body get used to being "normal" then we can take her to our regular vet to get her teeth taken care of.

She's around 13 now and was running around playing today. Of course she still has no use for our other two cats. LOL

I need to get Morley in to get his T4 levels checked. At his 3 month mark he was at the very low end of normal, and I'm afraid he's getting HYPOthyroid now.

I had my 17 year old checked out on Tuesday and her kidney levels are elevated but not alarming. Not bad for an old gal!!

Glad your kitty's done well on the iodine!

I figured everyone likes to hear good news when possible.

badger, I hope all is well with your kitty. I also think that is not bad for a 17 yr old.

Too right and it sounds like you have one tough ol' Tiger.

    Hugs to both of you.

I have a 17 year old hypo kitty...she loves her daily pill wrapped in a Pill Pocket. I'm always happy to hear of aging kitties with people who are willing to do what they can to give them quantity and quality of life.
