Question is there such a thing as TOO MUCH FLOAT?

can you have too much float in your pedals? I have heard about not having enough float and causing knee problems, but can the same thing be said for too much float? THANKS!

Yes--some people's knees need float, others have pain till they switch to no-float. Varies with the particular knee needs, so to speak.

Yep. Depends on the person, though. Some people need zero float.

Absolutely! I've found that less experienced riders haven't developed the musculature to support their knees and hips in a neutral position with too much float. This can lead to serious knee and hip pain. So while many folks sing the praises of float for those with less-than-perfect knees, it's not always the answer.
