    Fun Dreamin'

Have y'all gone onto trekbikes.com and built your own bike yet? Oh, it's so neat--picking the colors and the components. I chose mint pearl and gold or serious pink and gold. Unfortunately the one I came up with would cost me $4576.99! And that was being sorta frugal on some of the components! Anyway - - go to "project one" and have fun. I think my prospects of affording one of these are pretty slim. It's like my accountant told me --"Yes, you can retire, but somebody's gonna have to die first!" Details, details.....

Pretty cool. Good thing I can't afford it, because I could never decide on a color. I relaly liked Widow Maker, but also came up with red carbon with red polka dots with serious pink front/rear.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

I got my husband & son involved. We had a lot of fun with it, but we had different ideas about which design was best. Came up with a few color combinations that would certainly get attention. I'm saving up for a new trek. Dreaming of customizing was all I was doing.

Hee. I love this sort of stuff! Alas, Firefox spat the dummy quite spectacularly when I tried to get onto the Trek website.

Not only did I do that,

I ordered what I built. Project One Madone 5.9 WSD - Andromeda. It was cashy, but worth the money to finally have the exact bike that I wanted - including color, size, components Now, if spring would only arrive.
