    New Forks and new transport!

I passed my driving test yesterday which means that i can now drive myself to the place near-ish to here where there are excellent trails and a fantastic skills loop! Woohhoo! I'm so pleased it means i can just up and go any time instead of having to wait until my SO is off work.

Also got some forks for my hybrid at Christmas, meaning it's less of a street hybrid now and is verging more and more towards a MTB. They're great but did cause some problems when i had to replace the front brake cable as the brakes sit in a different position now (further forward) old cable was too short...eventually got them adjusted to the way i want them. I like my brakes to engage if i even think about pulling the lever so that took some work.
I'm a lot more confident and comfortable about riding Melquiedes now though and after washing him today and degreasing and lubing up i can't wait to get out on him at some point this week.

Congratulations on the license to drive! New freedom for you! Have fun with the new fork but be careful with that front brake- it can toss you over the bars.
