My boy Lance is running his first mary this weekend. Yeah! More Lance news!![]()
Ok, so how do you think he'll do this weekend at the NYC Marathon? In the article in Runner's World he was talking about how fast a runner he is (and I'd kill for half his speed knowing how fast a stud he was in his triathlete days). He's predicting somehere around 2:45. He had admitted to not training very much, although I suspect he's trained a lot more than he's let on. You can't make your marathon debut as Lance Armstrong and not have trained your tail off. What do you think? It will be interesting to see how he does as an endurance runner. Hmmmm..... do you think Vegas is taking wagers???
No pressure, Lance, only the whole world is watching you. No pressure!
Oh yes, my prediction? I think he'll start hurting about mile 20-21 like most people (but pain is not new to him and he has such a high tolerance) but I think he'll run a sub 3 for sure. I'm guessing 2:44.

He was dead last in his first pro bike race; then he learned and got the hang of it. I'll guess 3:03 for his first marathon.

I ran the Portland Marathon ,and its hard....after about mile 19 your body starts to shut down. First time Marathon...I say 3:05 Hes also dealing with weather.
and, Joan Benoit Samuleson and another former winner of the NYC are pacing him...my guess three flat.

Boy was I off.But still under 3 hours. Now here's hoping he does an Ironman. (yeah, right.)
Anyhow, is that time the chip time? I was thinking it probably takes quite a while to get to the start line, right?
It looks like massbikebabe is the winner here.....great call!![]()
