    First metric in 5 years!

I'm not exactly a new cyclist, but just back on my bike earlier this year after a long hiatus. Tomorrow I'm doing my first metric century since 2001, and I'm so nervous I don't know what to do with myself.

I'm uber-prepared: got the equipment, the snacks and drinks planned, bike shined and lubed, clothes clean and ready, etc etc etc. Now I just need to find a way to relax. Would it be a bad thing to have a couple of glasses of wine this evening?

Ah, you'll be great! And I think, if the wine makes ya relax, go ahead. Just don't overdo. Don't need a head on ya when you're trying to ride tomorrow.

Good luck!! I'll be thinkin' of ya tomorrow.
