    September 20th rides

Ah, the morning commute. How nice. How relaxing.

Now that I got my TE order (and arm warmers) it sure is!

I ended up peeling them off about 2/3 of the way on the 14.5 mile ride. Still it was nice to start off warmer, and then remove layers as needed. Rather than freezing like a popsicle and desperately trying to get toasty!

    It's helmet-strap-loosening season.

Yea, I had to break out the hat... loosen those straps... it was about 40 degrees and my dainty ears don't like the chill. IT was really nice cruising in - I love autumn days like this (even if they're grey, which this one definitely isn't).

I tossed the tights under the sweats, too, since yesterday was just a teeny bit chilly on my thighs.

I guess it won't be long before the skin starts doing the dry flaky thing all over those black tights... yummy...

I broke out the knickers and the new long-sleeved jersey from the LBS this a.m. (53 degrees). Was plenty toasty by the end of my 7.25 mile ride in. I'm thinking now I may have jumped the gun, and should have gone short sleeve and arm warmers instead - but I so wanted to wear my new jersey! It's going to be plenty warm for me this afternoon!

I made it home in time to get a short ride in before the sun set and the temperatures really dropped. I was able to sneak in 14 miles this evening. It was a bit chilly (58 F) so I donned the wind pants, the glove liners, the helmet cap and off I went. I had a great ride on my Giro. I'm hoping the weather holds out and I get sneak yet another ride in tomorrow after I leave the clinic. Weather and time will be determining factors tomorrow evening.
