I love my bunny and all my other critters. There always seems to be room to one more critter who needs a good home. We all get along.

This is my baby Tyson, 130 lbs of love. He died on Feb 4, 2006. I miss him dearly.

Tyson is beautiful (I love mastiffs). I'm sure he left a huge hole in your heart. He reminds me of my buddy Cumberland (I lost him last November to cancer). He was by far the best dog I've ever owned and I my heart still aches. The other two dogs in the picture were also very special and I lost them several years ago. Hondo (the black guy in the center)to a degenerative spinal disorder and Squire (the Great Dane) to bone cancer. I miss them all and I know there will be a huge party waiting for me when I get to the bridge.

    Thanks Marcie.

It's been a while, but I still cry when I think about him. He did leave a big hole in my heart. I'm sorry about your 3 lovely dogs. I love Danes too, but I have to say that Tyson was the best dog I've ever had. Never in my life have I seen so much heart and courage in an animal. DH and I are planning to get another dog when our new house is finished but it's so hard to imagine loving an animal the way I loved him.

It really helps to know that other people feel the same way about their pets.

But love you will. Maybe not exactly the same way, but our hearts have an amazing way of finding new ways to love our furry and feathered companions.
When I lost Samantha, and then Caboose both to cancer (L and R in the pic below), I never thought I could love another cat the same way. They were with me for over 14 years, thru thick and thin, good times and bad. I was devastated, and I still cry after 10 years.
Yet after they earned their wings, several stray cats adopted me, and I learned to love again. Was it the same? No. Was it equal? Absolutely. Equal but different. You'll see.

thanks PN. I think you are right. I had a coon hound that I lost very suddenly before we had Tyson. DH and I waited 2 years before we adopted the big palooka in the photo. Once he was in our lives we wondered why we waited so long. And, yes we loved him equally, but differently.

We are looking forward to our next pet when the time is right.

OK so this is really geeky, but my kitties now have their own MySpace style pages on Catster....

I had to register and set up a page since I wanted to send an email to a kitty I think may be my little Shio's brother so I figured what the heck I'll set them both up with their own pages.

found out my little one is a Chartreux - I'd never even heard of the breed until I got her and researched silver kitties. The breeder that confirmed that she is a Chartreux thinks someone probably was doing some unathorized breeding and when they couldn't sell the kittens (not that they wouldn't be allowed to sell them, but no one will buy one without papers) they took them to the shelter , but in the end it means that I got her and shes a real sweetie.

I just couldn't resist posting the latest picture of my dear Lucy. I think this is a new yoga position - the Down Cat.

IF - What a cute kitty!!

Like Wahine I'm still heartbroken over the loss of my pups, my two Border Collies were like my children and even two years later I can't believe they're gone. Those of you with furry babies at home...give them snuggles from me please.

Queen - I know exactly how you feel. I have lost pets over the years and it is like losing a child. Years later I still grieve for them at times. I will give mine an extra hug from you tonight

You know, I think I take more pictures of my cats than I ever did of my children.
