Queen - Ha. ha. it is to laugh.
Trek - I read "splitting the bottle" as "spinning the bottle" <snort>
Going back to bed PDQ.
This call was single hoarse bark (think sealionish)- not at all a who-cooks-for-you. Not a whoo at all. I guess it didn't have to be an owl at all, but it wasn't anything like a whippoorwill.
The only owls we have are Barn, (very rare) Great Horned, Barred and Screech.
Must have been a Barred Owl- even though I can't find that exact call.
I was MTBing one afternoon and saw two barred owls doing _something_ that involved a lot of calling/chasing in the woods, right out in plain sight, for a _long_ time. Not sure if it was friendly chasing or territorial.
Cool site: http://www.whatbird.com/
Ok, so I saw on the http://www.whatbird.com site that Absolut Vodka had bought seven of their bird images for a movie about Absolut Ruby Red.
http://absolut.com/ scroll to the right a couple clicks, and you can see this movie about the evolution of grapefruit. It's incredible.
Ok, so maybe just the first couple scenes are really cool...
I wouldn't spin the bottle with TD chicks. It'd cause all manners of trouble. Splitting the bottle might cause more- travel!
I did as promised and got sloshed last night, but went to bed right after (dgf hadda get up for work at 5) and a headache woke me up this morning.... so I'm visiting the Aleve and wondering when this weird streak of weird dreams will end.
Knot, you might feel better if you're sick. If you manage not to be, though, a little sleep and some carbs and hydration will help ya. I hope you feel better soon.
Going back to bed for an hour. Night, y'all!
(((((((((HUGS)))))))))
You shall not be for long, unless you want to be. You are brilliant, funny, athletic, lovely. Need I go on?
I shall watch for it and let you know when it arrives. If the letter someohow got thrown in, I promise not to open it and to promptly return it to you.
Wow, catch a little cold and I miss pages of fun!
Knot- feel better. Nothing like beign ill and an impending migraine. If I was there I would hold your head. I shall indeed be interested to see what arrives in the mail. ;)
Lise- It is nice to "see" you. I am please to hear the wedding went well. What a PITA it must be not to be able to check your mail.
I need to learn to stay up at night and play with everyone.
For now, it is still chilly and I am off for a run and then some toning exercisies followed by yoga.
Ciao!
I'm off to buy some lettuce seedlings and possibly a miniature rose and another annual or two, then do some more footpath decorating and hopefully some stone dewobbling. Gotta check on the grass seedlings, too!
I should probably go back to bed... and I might... but breakfast sounds good, too.
I have a construction story. There is a monestary (Poor Clares) up in the hills near me. They were rebuilding, all dependant on donations. The nuns helped the electrician pull all the old metal wiring out. Anyway, every evening after the work crew would leave, the nuns would go out and retreive all the dropped nails. They'd give them back to the crew to use.
