Weigh in this week - 183.8
WOOOO HOOO !!
This past week had ups and downs. I had some very unhealthy food last saturday, but I changed my attitude sunday. I went from riding about 20 miles a week to 50 this week. I am starting to see a little shape in my legs, something I have longed for forever! I bought some comfortable shoes ..cant afford the cleats yet. I also got the terry butterfly saddle, because the one I have - makes my rides miserable after a while. I am shocked I lost this much as I am very very bloated, and Ive been on birth control one month now, so my cycle is all off...
Month one down! I KNOW I will surpass my goal in month 2!
Good Luck Ladies!!
184.2 lbs
Still need to hydrate a bit after last nights ride, but heading the right direction.
Still 137 - no weight loss this week
That's muscle gain, right ;)
Biking: 79 miles
Fitness Walking: 12 miles
Good times and laughs: tons
Not a bad week for me.
3 mtb rides = 32 miles
1 gym workout
weight = 132
slow and steady .... working on consistency!
I am the same at 154 which is exactly what I was hoping for. Now I hope it isn't a plateau and that I can begin to slide some more off!
Hm...I have been eating out the whole week because the kitchen has been occupied so I can't cook. I hate, hate, hate it.
147.5 for me this week. Well, at least i'm still below 150, and despite feeling heavy, at least I don't hit 148.5-149 anymore.
Weight loss for me is weird. I'll be stuck in a certain range for a few weeks, before I lose another 4 lbs and then i'll be stuck at that range. Can't wait for the next 4 lbs to drop off. Perhaps I need to get my remaining wisdom teeth pulled out? That will force me to eat soup and jello for the next few weeks!
160lbs today! :)
Haven't weighed in yet today, but just a note. Can I tell you how good it looks and feels to lose four pounds? It's exciting, and so far this has been good.
For me, I really haven't increased my activity level a whole lot, just cut back on the amount of food I eat as a whole. Keeping it to breakfast, lunch, and dinner has made a huge difference. As someone posted before, feeling your stomach grumble when you're actually hungry is somewhat exciting, because I know I'm eating when I'm hungry, not just when I feel like it ;)
The weight is back to 136.5 lbs.. and thats not even with an accurate scale. still havent bought that scale.. maybe its time to go shopping NOOOOOOTTTT... NO SHOPPING. MORE RIDING D!
only managed to squeeze out 85 miles this week.. so depressing. This school schedule is a killer, and by the time i get home its so late and i'm so tired I don't even feel like riding...I hardly have the energy to wash up and go to bed. not to mention eating all three meals out everyday because I have no time to prepare any food..
hopefully things will be better soon. I am moving to on campus accomodation. The campus is also situated on a bunch of hills and just off campus is a very long very straight very flat stretch of road. I've already got in touch with a bunch of guys who are on campus and they are taking their bikes with them onto campus too. So hopefully I'll be able to do some riding or running with a bunch of guys every night and be that stronger rider I wanna be! (also fit into a size 8 and eventually a size 6...;))
keep working hard everyone. One more month to go!! WE CAN DO IT!!
D
D'oh, arriving too late again.
Is there another challenge planned for September/October?
Same as last week!
Dagnabit, up a pound to 154. :p
Okay, (if I'm back on this thing) My weigh in as of this morning is 139.5.
I haven't really clocked in any exercise these last 2 weeks, unless you count 5 rounds of golf, (all by cart) and a 1.5 hour hilly walk yesterday. :o
Up a pound to 228 here too:mad::mad:
Time to cut back further/ride more....
CA
Ohh yeah - forgot to tell you - my bet is back on with my sister for those jeans! 10 lbs by Oct 1. By the original bet, I need to be 135 by then, but I personally hope to be 130 by then! :D
Finally moving in the right direction...178.6 Its only -0.4 pounds since the last 2 weigh ins but I'll take it!
141.9... consistency is good, right? I was doing good getting my workouts in, but then the week went to h-e-hockeysticks. I'm ok with maintaining though, as long as I'm not gaining. I figured it would take an insane amount of effort and time to knock off these "last 10 lbs" anyways!
It's been almost 5 years since I've been in the 130's though, and it will be time for celebration when I make it there!
Emily - her goal is to maintain. Her last weigh-in was at 103, so she's not far off.
Congrats, tctrek! I totally snorted when I read this! Good job on the loss and on celebrating with a long ride! :)
I'm an idiot. I think I have some type of mental block on Fridays - I forgot to weigh-in again! In fact, I haven't stepped on the scale even once this week, and that's unusual for me. I promise to weigh tomorrow and post then. Duh.
No loss or gain for me, 149.
start: 181
today: 174.4
I had to weigh myself twice just so I was sure... :D:D:D
Down to 177.0
And I gained 1 lb back, now at 130.5 lbs, but I'll blamed that on water retention from PMS. I've been biking a lot, eating great and not binging, so next week, watch out :D
I'm starting my week with a 70 mile ride tomorrow, so that will help !
No change. :(
Will be gone for a couple of weeks and hope to report a loss when I return.
182 here. I was at 181.50 but I blame it on late nights and poor eating.
I think everyone is doing great. This wasn't such a stellar week for me but I like reading about enthusiasm...and my lack of stellar-ness is only temporary.
160.6 ... back to the drawing board :o
I was 236.8 today. Not quite a pound this week, but every little bit helps.
I'm just feeling so sad because I was supposed to go riding today in the morning and evening and was so looking forward to it but then something is wrong with my left foot. it was aching a little on the ride on friday night, but yesterday evening it got so bad i was limping and now i can hardly put my foot on the ground without pain. its like.. a ligament inflammation maybe? like at the bridge of my foot.. i didn't fall or anything. I'm just so annoyed. I'm sorry guys but i just had to vent a little somewhere...I just hope the pain goes away... I just wanna ride!!!:(:(:(
There's an ointment on the market that is castor oil based that might be quite good for ligament pain like that. It's called Castiva. Whenever we used to sprain ankles in our family, my mother would prescribe a 'castor oil wrap' Putting castor oil in the ace bandage wrap would speed up the healing wonderfully. So this Castiva that my mom recently found is the stuff she now recommends as it is castor oil based. Good luck! You'll be back on the bike soon I'm sure!:D
I forgot to check in for the past few weeks, but I've been spot-checking my weight periodically. I'm still cruising at 200 lbs.
I did manage to lose weight after all this week - a half a pound. So I'm down to 131.5.
175.2 for me this week. not bad, i bet i sweated most of it off though. :-) once i drink some water, all bets are off.
Hope I'm not too late:
Weight : 190 (what is it about 190 that my body loves sooo much?)
Distance: 65.3 miles (all commuting on the road)
If I want a muffin, I have to go ride the 7 miles one way to get it. That seems to work. For now.
I have my personal training exam in two weeks. This means I will be sitting for periods of time studying. I will just have to lock up the fridge!
Have a good week! Karin
up one to 162 this week. :( Still hoping to see a number in the 150s soon, soon, soon (actually, last Monday, the day after a 75 mile ride, the scale DID say 159, but 24 hours later we were right back in the 160s).
I was out of town and didn't weigh in last Friday. When I got home yesterday, I weighed 120, but this morning I'm down 118.8 so that's the one I'm stickig with. :) Oh, and I did another 8 hours training this week.
Was out of town sans computer until today. We were in LA helping DD get settled in her new apartment.
Friday's weight was 134, right within my normal range. Next week's weigh in is going to be bad. No riding, lots of restaurant food for the last four days. Work is going to be hellish for the next three days. I doubt I'll get in much more than a couple early morning trainer spins.
Ummm ... we're trying to GAIN weight, right?! If so, yay! I'm doing well!
I'm up to 167.2. I can't expect any more -- I've been completely off my training and my eating right. I think all that stuff is over and I can get back to concentrating on myself again for awhile. I HOPE SO!
Here's to going the other direction this coming week!
Good work everyone!
Jes
Thanks Extravert :D
It's slightly better today. I use tiger balm medicated plasters.. hehe. we chinese have so many cures :D But its working i guess, soothes the pain. and the swelling is subsiding. so hopefully will be back on the bike on the weekend.
I tried finding castor oil here once could not find it at all.. heh. looks like its not part of the local herbal repertoire...
Hey all - sorry for not having a chart for this past week done yet. I've actually been pretty swamped lately.
My weigh in for last week was 164.0. Up a little, but I ate things that were not on my plan, so I deserve to see a gain. This week isn't much better, but I have gotten in a commute or two...so it may work out ok. We'll see.
I really need to straighen up and fly right again in terms of nutrition.
And I hope to have the chart posted soon...though I may just wait and do both weeks at the same time this weekend. Sorry! :o
GLC, with all that farm work, I bet you'll be dropping the weight in no time! Farm work is hard!
