I have been on vacation and missed (I think) the last 2 reports. I'm still here and I'm still 148.2. Buckling down this week.

Oh.. it's here already?! I forgot to weigh in the last couple mornings. AND... I just binged on 1/2 container of gelato! So, I'll wait and check in tomorrow morning. I am expecting the worst. No workouts in 5 days due to severe work schedule. Working gets in the way of my health! Maybe I can get a prescription for vacation!?:p

Hi all. Sorry I disappeared. I got laid off a couple of weeks ago and went into a bit of a tailspin. Although you would think I'd take advantage of the time off by working out like crazy, I became a beach bum instead. Time to get back on track. I plan on weighing in this Friday.

Hey everyone!

I forgot to weigh in at all this weekend! I'm just putting myself down for the same as last week and I'll catch up next Friday.

I did bike more this week by adding in weekend rides. I hope to get in two commutes before the next weigh in...so this could potentially be my first week with over 100 miles of riding in this whole summer!

Anyway - it appears that a lot of people are on vacation or off trying to get their kids (or themselves) ready for school! ;)

Just as an FYI - I probably won't be able to commit to doing this chart every week in September & October. Of course, doing it keeps me honest and unable to skulk away...so maybe I will keep doing it.

Will there be interest in a September/October challenge?

Yours is the best chart I've ever seen, so I hope you'll do more of them. I'll be out of town next Friday, so just mark me down as the same. Yes, I am interested in more challenges. Thanks!

I know it's late, but I did an afternoon weigh in at 173. Anddd, my original goal was 175, I just noticed I didn't have a goal marked :p

That chart looks awesome and I thank you many times for keeping track.

This has been a good way for me to at least stay focused on getting on the bike and to focus on eating too.

I passed my NASM personal trainer exam last week. So I didn't do much riding pre-test because well, I was studying like nuts.

The funny thing is that my Phys Therapist can't understand why I have no strength and my injury hasn't gotten better. Sad to say I haven't been in a gym strength training for at least a year (serious training). Sigh. Why can't I take my OWN advice?

Mark me down for 188. Hanging in there!

I dont think I would have lost these 11 lbs without your chart.
It gives me something to look forward each friday morning.
I really appreciate your time and effort in making and maintaining it.

I sure hope there is another challenge!!!
I am ready to lose another 12!

just got back from vacation. I did not exercise at all because the day before I left for vacation I went for a run and ended up straining my calf and could hardly walk. Basically took 1 and 1/2 weeks off. Weight is 150. Not too bad.

142 - not good! :(

But September is another month, so count me in for the next round (if we have one).

And thank you again for the chart - I know it is a lot of work for you and this gal is very appreciative!!

Count me in for next round too if there is one. And thank you GLC of putting in the hard work of maintaining the spreadsheet! I was on a roll this challenge, but then went away on vacation and jumped back up to 205.4. Time to buckle down and get back to it now that vacation is over.

And the final result is.... I've maintained. After a 6lb drop this week for unhealthy reasons, I'm back at my constant, 143.5.
I know I didn't put the work in that would have been required to lose anything these last two months, but I have managed to maintain and am on the right track for the months ahead!

226 this morning. Not bad considering I had a week of vacation and we've virtually eaten every meal this week out.

I'm definitely in for the next challenge to - provided GLC is kind enough to do this again for us. Gotta make myself get more serious about this....

176.8, I've lost .2 pounds over 8 weeks...I guess there’s something to be said for consistency :)

Finally, finally...I actually got back to counting my Weight Watcher points this week and keeping my food journal. I ate plenty, just made better choices. So my body is trying to tell me something if I would just LISTEN.

Today: 145.2

Now I have to keep it up! I hope to keep reporting for Sept! And I'll try not to wait until the last week to do something. Thank you for keeping the chart...it is so helpful!

118.2 this AM.
So I did NOT meet my goal weight, but I DID lose weight.
I think I will continue in this downward trend (postive thinking) and would love to continue and be part of this challenge for the next 8 weeks.
Gotta get it off now, before the 1/2 marathon AND before the holidays hit!

Oops, back up 1/2 pound, to 131-3/4, so I didn't meet my goal, but I at least lost something.

Thanks for all your hard work, GLC, and, yes, I would be interested in another challenge.

I'm at 154, again. I didn't lose as much as I would have liked, but I can't say I was very diligent about it.

Thanks for having done this challenge GLC, I appreciate your work.

I forgot yesterday, but this morning I was 134.6.

It's been up a little, down a little, but no remarkable change in either direction these last two months. Probably just water weight fluctuation. I realize now that I am going to have to make significant changes in the way I eat (which isn't all that "bad" to begin with) because I don't think I can fit any more riding/weight lifting into my schedule and still have the necessary recovery time I find I need at my age. This is frustrating.

I'm at 131 lbs, came back from vacation with no biking included, too much sitting, too much food, and water retention. It's fine, though, could be a lot worse!

I'm back up at 180.4 A week of conferencing, even though I watched my intake. Nevertheless ... too much snacking between sessions, and too little physical activity. Actually I was up more than that, but the ride to H€ll on Monday helped whittle the gain back down a bit.

154lbs... it is magical number for me because 154lbs is the just below 70kg. And that is great! I stopped loosing for couple of weeks, but the last Sunday century seem to help. I still drink wine and beer, but definitely much less and I try no to eat late at night. The main thing is that I try to eat rather 5x a day and more than the 2x a day (before).

I want to thank GLC for organizing the chart. I am very competitive person but sometimes I get lost in grandiose goals - but the chart simplified my goal, my small weekly goal was to have at least little bit less on scale on Friday morning. Nothing more than that. And it worked. I would have never done with all of you sort of competing with me, but mainly I would have never done it without the chart. It is first time in my life (since adolescence) that I actually weight below 70kg ! No diet before really worked because I never really stuck to it.

What worked was combination that the first time in my life I did not WISH to loose weight, I DECIDED to loose weight. Without the chart it would be much harder battle. Thank you all!

Bike is still in the shop because bike guy wanted to wrangle some extra money out of me... long story. but he's said he will fix it 'at his cost' even though he is still trying to make me look like loose ball bearings are my fault.

so no riding.

bad weather, so no swimming.

some running

no weighing scale so no weighing.

I guess the weight loss needs to wait.

hopefully the next challenge will be less challenging.

Bouncing up and down in a 3lb window so I'll go with 164 for my final weight. 130 miles this week. Very tired after today's ride, haven't been eating too well lately. :(

188 here. Wow. September already. Almost done with PT and it's back to the gym for 3 days a week of strength training as I *forgot* to do it all season. Duh. SO that will definately show a change on the scale as well as the pants...

I really should stick with this program, but will be traveling four out of the next five Fridays (plus a variable number of days before and/or after). :o In fact, that makes it all the more important that I stick with the program. So ... do I weigh in the nearest I can get to a Friday? Or do I just jump in towards the end of the next 2 months (and admit to what all that travel has done to me weight-wise :()?

Hi all!

I know that no one will believe me, but I haven't weighed since early last week sometime. I've been swamped and by the time I remember that I should weigh, my day is well underway and I've eaten or showered or whatever...before I think about it.

That said, I am willing to do the chart again. I still haven't decided if I'm going to join the challenge or not though. I'm going to assume that I'm still below my starting weight, so this will be my second challenge in a row with a loss - so I can't argue with the fact that if I apply myself, I lose weight. I just can't seem to apply myself consistantly enough.

Anyway, I'll get an updated chart posted at lunch today and I'll start a post for the next challenge right now. :)

Ok, here it is - the final chart. We are still missing a few weigh-ins. Of the 51 people who signed up for this challenge - 27 posted a final weigh-in. That's about a 50% completion rate, so we need to do better next time!

All in all, 132 lbs were lost in total! That's 132 lbs that collectively we are no longer pushing up hills. That's awesome!!
