Way to go everyone! It's fun to see you all working at this!
For my part, here are the results:

1st week - 130
2nd week - 131 :(
today - 129.5
So I really only have lost .5 lbs in 2 weeks, but that's cool. It's the progress that counts.

I rode 105 miles this week, with a 6 mile hike on monday and yesterday did 30mn aerobic with abs as my rest day. Felt good to cross train.
As a note, I have a big ride of 70 miles coming up on August 2, so I've been training for it. It's a community supported ride, should be fun and melt those pounds.

Oh, and as a reminder, for those of us who don't see pounds drop fast enough but exercise lots, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, but takes less volume, so cheers to that.:D

You had that mostly right, Sindyeli :)

Muscle is denser than fat, so like you said, a pound of muscle takes up less volume than a pound of fat. Or, putting it another way, a cupful of muscle will weight more than a cupful of fat. (Sorry to get all didactic on you, but I always cringe when people say that muscle weights more than fat. I know you know what you mean, but I'm anal. :o )

So hopefully my lardbutt will eventually turn into musclebutt ...

In the meantime, I lost a pound this week, down from 154 to 153, woo-woo!

I was afraid that this week I would gain back the weight I lost so quickly last week on SB phase I, but that didn't happen so I'm really glad. And 1 pound a week is much saner than 5 pounds.

I might have lost a pound this week, but it's been so hot I've tried to get enough fluid, but it doesn't help when some of that is microbrew!

I've been on Phase 1 since Monday, so not quite a full week and I'm down a tad more than 3 lbs! Woohoo! :D

164.1 this week.

Starting today, I'm starting to add fruits back in. I've got a very physical day planned for today and tomorrow, so I need my strength! Sunday we hope to take our first pleasure ride in MONTHS.

I copied the cells, saved them as jpg ... as a photo server are you speaking of something like shutterfly? did that. I sused the "manage attachements" in the post writing area, now I'm lost. how do it get a jpg wthin this writing?

DUH ME!

Tabby - When you open a 'reply' window, click on the yellow box icon right above the text window (it's below and right of the paperclip icon). Then paste the URL of your photo (from shutterfly) into the widow and hit submit. That should do it!

Today's weight 167 which is up a little but totally expected after a soccer weekend in Seattle. I didn't go crazy with the food but didn't make great choices either :o

88 miles on the bike. No soccer for 5 weeks so I'll be able to make the Saturday rides and push that number up.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Started to weeks ago at 120.8...the was way down by 2 pounds in one week. Didn't beleive it, sure enough few ays later back up 120.xx:eek:...been steadily going down this past week...as low as 119 yesterday.:)..then doay 119.6! But overall that is more realistic...1 pound in 2 weeks. So let's just hope it keeps heading down.

So log 119.6 for this wiegh in.

Eating: not bad, tried to not overeat or drink.
Training: this week was lighter than last, but overall sticking to the plan. Have workouts scheduled for both days on weekend.

but I will take it!

Yesterday morning the scale said 158.
I really ate like I should yesterday - only fruit, veggies, and chicken. Plus some popcorn. I drank lots of water. Didn't exercise. Rested like a slug. Read a book.
Today...........
I hopped on the scale in the buff at 6:30 am and ta-da - 155.4. I thought NO WAY. So, I showered, ate, got dressed, and hopped on the scale before lunch and 154. Huh?
I am baffled, but I guess I am at 154. :D

184 so I'm down 1 lb from last week :D

Exercise:

Run 17 miles
Ride 42 miles
Swim 1 hour

Making the SB ahead of time and packaging it for work lunches/dinners worked really well. Last night (day 4 of my work week) was bad because I ran out of food so I threw together some wraps and leftover artichoke hearts but the other days were perfect. It's been good motivation to not eat junk though I did eat a Dove Bar this past week. Last night I got hungry and the temptation was there to run up to Qdoba or Burger King (working at the airport gives me access to LOTS of food) and I decided to drink a glass of cold water and stick it out until I got home.

I think everyone is doing great :D

163 this morning, so I managed to not gain any weight on vacation!!! YAY!!!! :D

Now hopefully I'll be able to record a loss next week. I've been crazy at work and just generally trying to readjust to life after vacation, and I have not been on the bike at all. I made it to my spin class at lunchtime on Tuesday and other than that, no exercise at all this week. The heat is oppressive right now, but I'm hoping to get out for a nice long ride in the early morning tomorrow, before it gets too hot.

This morning the scale said 134.8. Not much difference (and that could be water weight loss), but at least the number is slightly down, not up. I won't claim real weight loss until I see a number lower than my 134-136 range.

I upped my weight workout to three this past week, but didn't get in as many miles on the bike.

Weights = X 3
Road miles - 63
Trainer miles - 30

The air is much clearer now, though I can see the haze of the Big Sur fire when I look south. I'm hoping to get in a ride on both Saturday and Sunday.

142.3 this morning... though I forgot to weigh myself until after I ate breakfast. So I'm not losing, but I'm not gaining either.
Good news though:
- Did 15 miles on Saturday, which is the most I've done at once since I started riding just a few months ago.
- Wore a pair of size 6 shorts today that were a bit too small just 2 weeks ago! ;)
- Put on a dress that I haven't worn in a year, and it practically fell off me! I'm down about 13lbs from this time last year.

Focus on the positives everyone and keep it up!

Hi Ladies.

Am I too late to join?? I'd love to participate if that's ok. I broke my foot in May and have been off crutches since mid-June. I got back in the saddle right away, but I can really use some help focusing on some goals. I can never seem to break the 130lb mark, but have just got myself down to 129 .... my goal is to be 125, but to add a lot of strength/muscle between here and there ...

I'm at 136 this week, that's up a pound. I fluctuate a lot so not a big surprise. Maybe I should have weighed after my ride home in the heat, it felt like I lost several pounds of sweat. We haven't had much summer yet, but the past few days it seems to be coming on strong!

Keep me at 186.

Riding miles this week: zero :(

On a good note I feel almost normal. Didn't I say that last week? Maybe I shouldn't say anything at all. The word on the street is that this 'thing' lasts about 10 to 14 days, so I'm at day 12 here.

Ya know, this really makes you appreciate being healthy and being able to bike. I think I needed that reality check...

I seem to be stuck between 164 and 166. Time to move on!

SWIM 1.5 hours (one OW clinic)
WEIGHT 20 min
WALK 11 miles
BIKE 18.5 miles
RUN 6.2 miles
YOGA 1.3 hours

Here's to a better week!

Well, I'm up again, but I'm not that upset about it. I'm up to 185.2. I've had a couple of comments from people about how great I look and how much weight I've lost. These are people that don't even know I've taken up biking and am seriously training for my first century. I also discovered today that my new biking shorts I got three weeks ago have gone from being almost too tight around the legs to being just right around the legs and almost too loose around the waist. Whoo hoo!

I rode 82 miles last week which more than makes my weekly goal of 60 miles. Go me!

A bicycle does get you there and more.... And there is always the thin edge of danger to keep you alert and comfortably apprehensive. It's a little late but, I'm at 177.2 !! And I did just about nothing this week!:confused::confused: I did that Late Ride (http://lateride.org/home.php)on saturday, which is only 25 miles, I was too tired for the rest of this week! Oh well, I feel satisfied! That makes 2.2 pounds from my goal! Yippie! Although, I feel like I made my goal something super easy because Its only five pounds, but if I was just "dieting" or "giving loosing-weight" a try, I couldn't do it. But If I successfully drop the full 5 pounds to my goal, It will feel like a miracle, because I haven't been in that 175 range in close to 2 years. YAY motivation!

Something I have learned since I started my quest to lose weight back in November, 2007 is to set tiny goals. In the beginning, I was so impatient to lose the 3-5 pounds a week that you see on those ads on TV and in the magazines. If others can lose that much weight in a week, why can't I? I'm a good person, I'm not eating that much, why did I gain weight this week? I figured it out -- because those ads are all b.s., that's why!

There's really only one way to lose weight -- eat right and move your body. You can starve yourself or deprive yourself of entire food groups (like carbs), but if you aren't eating balanced, lots of fresh foods, drinking lots of water, eating every few hours, being healthy, you either won't lose weight at all, or you will lose it and put it right back on.

So, I have learned to set tiny goals where I can give myself a big "atta girl". I am still impatient and I know I would give up if I had to wait 8 weeks to hit a goal, so the tiny goals are week-by-week. Like the goal to drop from one "decade" of weight to the next. I remember when I was at 170 pounds and I just wanted to get to 169 so that I was out of the 170 decade! What a high that was to leave that 170 behind. Now, I am at 140 pounds and riding my bike as fast as I can to 139! Am I ever going to walk a foot off the floor when I am in the 130's again -- haven't been there in 10 years!! Another little goal I set is increasing the number of miles I ride each week or decreasing how long it takes me to do one of my favorite rides. I set the tiny goal and then write it down and plan for how to attack it.

What's your tiny goal? The one you can hit in maybe a week definitely in less than 2 weeks? What's the one little thing you can do and be proud of your accomplishment and excited to go to the next little goal?

That is great advice. Instead of setting yourself up for disappointment, you set yourself up for victory. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry i've been MIA. I'm currently at 135.5lbs. i weighed in yesterday at the clinic when i went to get my head checked. Got into a minor altercation with a moving car and had my head bumped ard a little bit. thank god it was all slow mo so apart from a few bruises and a strained neck i'm fine. But my front wheel is slightly bent, so now I feel worried about riding.. its all in the head when the gear's even slightly off... feel completely out of form. will be spending some time sorting out the insurance payments. my laptop computer was rather badly damaged... and the lady could not afford a private settlement. So I'll need to make a claim on her insurance.. sigh... Hopefully I can get back to riding soon. Cheerios!

Thanks GLC.

I'm alright mostly, its just that all this running around to make claims is really running me ragged.

I realise that the numbers i submitted make me look like i lost 10 lbs in one week. But i think the initial reading was just off, the weighing scale is broken. I think the first week's reading should be 140lbs or something like that. I didn't lose much weight.

(and now that my bike is in the shop and I've got this stupid neck strain I wonder when I can ride again...*sniff* *reach for rocky road ice cream*)

OK....dreading tomorrow's weigh in. Weight was up after this last weekend....bad food weekend...to many "events" that gave me very little chance of behaving.
Emotionally a bad week...I HATE my job. Ok, enough of that. But that = a bit increase in the wine intake.
PLUS...this is a "recovery week" or per my coach a lighter work-out week. And I have enjoyed the not so heavry training this week.
And now the final confession: I just ate 2 pieces of chocolate. Now they werebite size. :o And dark. :o And with almonds (see--I can find something healthy about it).:p

I don't have my training info in front of me but last week was a rest week. I did some running, my longest being a 5 mile run. I was good about what I ate though by last night I was really wanting pizza. Bad decadent pizza with thin slices of pepperoni that were crispy on the edges. Before I Give Up Completely, I Am Going To Post This And Start New.
I Have Not Rode One Time This Week, Nor Any Other Activity. My Eating Habits Were Not The Best Either. I Have Spent The Last Week Moving From One City To The Other, In Between Working Full Time. I Am Tired Stressed And Crabby. I Am The Kind Of Person Who If I Stop Riding For More Than 1 Day, Find It Harder And Harder To Go Back Because I Feel I Already Lost... Same Theory Goes With Food. Well I Am Really Not Ready To Gain Back The 5 Lb I Lost Thus Far, And So Today I Starting Again. New Week, New Chance. I Did Not Weigh In This Week, I Will Just Sabatoge My Efforts. So ---- Heres To A New Week, New Goals. Thanks For Listening.

This week is the same, 129.5 lbs. I can live with that, but considering I rode
a total of 107 miles, I should have lost more. I know why I haven't and it's my problem, right ?:D
But I can do it. I have to go to a wedding on Sunday, that will be most interesting. And about to enter a week of PMS, that's never good for my appetite.
Ok, on to next Friday!

Couple days late checking in here!

Weight: 166
BF: 32.8%
Bike miles: 94

Miles are still lower than planned since I didn't ride last Sat. DH, kids and I helped build a wooden playset for the Make A Wish foundation. It was a long, hot, and VERY rewarding day. :) I did make it out yesterday though. A friend and I went for a long ride and boy did she kick my rear end! She's a much stronger, faster, and more experienced rider than I am but wanted to take a "slow" day due to injuries from a crash the previous week. Well, her slow day is still pushing it for me. :p I didn't have my bike computer with me  so I'll have to map it to determine the miles but it was around 100 and we probably averaged 17mph. I am so beat and sore today!!!

Unlike the weight loss log, this log is now 3 pages long and I don't believe logical to post into a reply post here, so after all that fussing about not being able to post the same manner ... here is week 3. I pulled verbage from individual posts which is why there is no standard format.

Open to suggestions for more efficient format.

Tabby,
Thanks for the hard work.
You can "delete" me from the log. I really just use the forum to "vent or whine" or get re-focused. I use another place to log all training. And I can happily say I AM doing what my coach puts in my training plan. Just not really losing the weight (my issue).
Maybe others don't need/plan to be part of the log and those that really want to then come up w/ a "format" to use to help this be benefical to all and not tooooo much work for you. Just my 2 cents worth!
Again, thanks for trying to make it work!

Weigh in this week - 183.8
WOOOO HOOO !!

This past week had ups and downs. I had some very unhealthy food last saturday, but I changed my attitude sunday. I went from riding about 20 miles a week to 50 this week. I am starting to see a little shape in my legs, something I have longed for forever! I bought some comfortable shoes ..cant afford the cleats yet. I also got the terry butterfly saddle, because the one I have - makes my rides miserable after a while. I am shocked I lost this much as I am very very bloated, and Ive been on birth control one month now, so my cycle is all off...

Month one down! I KNOW I will surpass my goal in month 2!

Weight loss for me is weird. I'll be stuck in a certain range for a few weeks, before I lose another 4 lbs and then i'll be stuck at that range. Can't wait for the next 4 lbs to drop off. Perhaps I need to get my remaining wisdom teeth pulled out? That will force me to eat soup and jello for the next few weeks!

Haven't weighed in yet today, but just a note. Can I tell you how good it looks and feels to lose four pounds? It's exciting, and so far this has been good.

For me, I really haven't increased my activity level a whole lot, just cut back on the amount of food I eat as a whole. Keeping it to breakfast, lunch, and dinner has made a huge difference. As someone posted before, feeling your stomach grumble when you're actually hungry is somewhat exciting, because I know I'm eating when I'm hungry, not just when I feel like it ;)

The weight is back to 136.5 lbs.. and thats not even with an accurate scale. still havent bought that scale.. maybe its time to go shopping NOOOOOOTTTT... NO SHOPPING. MORE RIDING D!

only managed to squeeze out 85 miles this week.. so depressing. This school schedule is a killer, and by the time i get home its so late and i'm so tired I don't even feel like riding...I hardly have the energy to wash up and go to bed. not to mention eating all three meals out everyday because I have no time to prepare any food..

hopefully things will be better soon. I am moving to on campus accomodation. The campus is also situated on a bunch of hills and just off campus is a very long very straight very flat stretch of road. I've already got in touch with a bunch of guys who are on campus and they are taking their bikes with them onto campus too. So hopefully I'll be able to do some riding or running with a bunch of guys every night and be that stronger rider I wanna be! (also fit into a size 8 and eventually a size 6...;))

keep working hard everyone. One more month to go!! WE CAN DO IT!!

There's an ointment on the market that is castor oil based that might be quite good for ligament pain like that. It's called Castiva. Whenever we used to sprain ankles in our family, my mother would prescribe a 'castor oil wrap' Putting castor oil in the ace bandage wrap would speed up the healing wonderfully. So this Castiva that my mom recently found is the stuff she now recommends as it is castor oil based. Good luck! You'll be back on the bike soon I'm sure!:D

My weigh in for last week was 164.0. Up a little, but I ate things that were not on my plan, so I deserve to see a gain. This week isn't much better, but I have gotten in a commute or two...so it may work out ok. We'll see.

143.5... which means I still haven't budged since this began. A bit frustrating, but I'm kicking it up a notch, and I'll be happy if I can break 140 by the end of the month! We're forecast for highs in the mid 70s for the next 10 days, perfect riding weather- that should help!

I'm down to 181.2! The scale is finally moving in the right direction.

Biking - 75.23 miles
Horseback riding - 1.5 hours
Sweating like a pig while working out/playing on the Wii Fit - 5 hours

Someone posted awhile back that the Wii Fit was fun but wasn't a lot of exercise, but I beg to differ. You can get one heck of a workout on it. It depends on what you put into it though. And you can add hand weights to take it up a notch.

I am down another -0.4 to 178.2, I’m glad I’m moving in the right direction 2 weeks in a row even without exercising. I pulled my hamstring muscle a week and a half ago and its taking a while to heal. I’ve decided to sit on my butt and wait it out rather than trying to exercise through the pain (I’ve reinjured this hamstring several times over the years). Hopefully I will show bigger losses once I can get back on the bike.

Up to 131, and I guess that makes me realize: there are those who try to lose weight on this challenge, and those who don't - or should I say one who doesn't... me (don't want to offend anyone here :D ). The result is that I have not lost weight, but have been super stable -/+ 1lb, so I'm not going to complain. But if I want loss, then I have to do something about it. Maybe I'm just fine where I'm at....

135.8 this morning.

I expected it to be a bit higher considering I was out of town last Fri - Mon (no exercise, eating in restaurants). I got in a couple weigh sessions this week, but getting up at 4:30 am to ride the trainer had no appeal (not that it ever does). This was also a really bad week at work, so I was more mentally tired than usual. Anyway, those are my excuses for slacking off.

Back to business as usual beginning today, but I think my body just likes the 134-136 range regardless of what I do or don't do with exercise and/or eating habits. Sigh...:(

I eat LOTS of fruit and veggies, only whole grain, some lean meat or alternative protein, low fat dairy and some good fats. Pretty well no processed food, only a little dark chocolate for dessert, red wine most days. Lots of exercise. It works for me. YOu can count calories at first to make sure you're not eating too much. Also, 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones.

Google the mediterranean (sp?) diet (the DASH diet is similar). It's more of a lifestyle than a diet.

Luvgr8mnds,
I can relate. I lost weight initally on WW and started cycling. Have been working on last 10 -15 pounds for 3 years now! I bike, run, duathalon, personal trainer once a week...you name it. I had hoped w/ an active lifestyle I would not have to worry some much about my diet. Obviously that is not true. I see folks that are inactive make just a "few" changes in diet and "poof" they drop weight. I stay active and have bad weeks of eating/drinking and darn it I gain. I can gain weight training for a 1/2 marathon. I dont' get it. So now I am am TRYING to really pay attention to diet and be more consistent. Avoiding emotional eating and that socialized eathing/drinking thing. I do scream "its not fair". Being "small" (SHORT!) I struggle w/ my weight d/t size. And with working out I am alwasy trying to balance eathign enough and not too much. I worry about the "holding" on to weight (fat) d/t not consuming enough. But probably that is not the issue. And it is really hard to find a nutritionist that understands endurance atheletes.
Long story short...I can relate. I agree w/ the frustration. But now I am trying to journal my food. I agree w/ the small frequent meals. The other thing I am doing and I have heard is more "interval" work. Mix it up, don't just ride at steady state. And don't always ride hard.
Good luck...hang in there. I think most of us are in the same boat!

180.4 again today, but the needle is at the bottom rather than the top edge of the line. If it were a digital scale, I might have been able to claim a smidgen of weight loss, but I'll record this week as stable within the margin of measurement error. Long hike planned on Sunday. If I do some hill attempts after work a couple times this coming week, maybe I'll have some real loss to report by next Friday. :o

Yes, I have that issue! I'm 48....I started to do more strength training this year finally (about 2-3 x per week). It is more funtional and core stuff, free weights...I see a PT once per week.

I admit my eating habits got somewhat worse at the same time, due to other things (work schedule, husband traveling for work which led to unplanned dinners and night time eating,etc.). But the upshot is that despite the strength stuff I have gained about 8#'s this year.

The good news is that I know I am stronger, and my upper body is not as spindly as it once was. I'm still a pear but a more balanced pear!

P.S. I am not ready to give up my wine either!!!! :)

Thanks for the encouragement, Jobob. I am very discouraged, but not giving up quite yet.

Just curious about how all you South Beachers are doing, especially after weeks following the program? Do you get bored or crave bread or miss fruit? Or are you modifying the plan to add in more carbs, etc.

And yes, I am convinced that it gets much harder to lose after you get into your 50s:mad:

Hi bambu -

I've modified the plan to add in more carbs.

Nowadays I'm simply eating better, that is, more veggies and lean meats, high-fiber carbs (steel-cut oatmeal most mornings, rarely any bread or potatoes, haven't had pasta in ages). I 'cheat' a lot more than I should, with the occasional beers and such, which is probably why I haven't lost much lately, but I've cut way down on the between meal snacking so that should help some.

One thing that helps me a lot when I get the munchies are those lowfat part-skim mozzarella cheese sticks. They're only 70-80 calories per and very satisfying.

Hey, han-grrl..I'm like you...I just work at maintaining. That also requires effort and some attention. I just weighed myself now, just above 97 lbs. But in winter I was 5 lbs. heavier and that was not just water retention.

I've never posted to this thread before and don't plan to visit on this thread much but there is probably a whole little group of us that just work to maintain.

UGH, 175.6 for me. I've got to get myself out of the depression rut I'm in, it leads to me eating without thinking and lounging around doing nothing. Just curious about how all you South Beachers are doing, especially after weeks following the program? Do you get bored or crave bread or miss fruit? Or are you modifying the plan to add in more carbs, etc.

After only one week in strict phase 1, I started adding back in grains and fruits (phase 2). I've had two weeks of not-so-good eating, but when I'm on track, I do eat fruit, some whole grain breads/pita, and oats. Like Jobob, I still avoid pasta and I rarely eat sugar anymore. Even when I'm not sneaking in dark chocolate covered almonds :o, I really don't feel like I'm missing out much when eating this way.

I recall reading that there are some mechanisms the body has for holding on to a weight, making it easier to gain than to lose. Losing tends to go in thresholds, where you can lose a bit, then your body hangs on at that level for a while. You have to keep at it ("it" being more exercize, less calory intake) and eventually you start on another step downwards.

Thank you gals for keeping me at it. I seem to have finally broken through the 180-pound glass floor. 178 this morning! Woohoo!

I knew this AM would proably NOT be good like Thursday.
That being said who knows which weight is right? I feel pretty good and I want to KEEP my weight yesterday as the weight to record--117.8 (it is not like I will win so I don't think I am cheating!)
Even if it is a "fluke" like a previous time I lost...then maybe it will really prompt me to remain really good so I DON'T go back up.

So I am sticking w/ my 117.8 to record and next week we will know for sure. If I go back up then NEVER again will I record a weight that I have not seen at least 2 days in a row or at least in teh same few days!

This fluctuation thing is hell! Also 2 folks at gym could tell my running and working out was making a difference...they could tell by looking at me...so maybe I'll see 117.8 or less again!

I've definitely put on weight. sigh.. I don't even want to know how much.. feels like 5 or 6 lbs. I think I will go buy a weighing scale now. But not tooooo bad today: 118.4
I "feel" better and have kept up with all my training sessions.
So I'll take it!

Well I fasted for 48 hours this week to take off that 5 pounds that I gained over vacation and it worked.

So my weight today is down to 140.2 - YAY!

If I continue to be careful this next week, I should be able to end up exactly where I started this challenge - LOL

134.8 this morning. I think this is where my body wants to be. It doesn't seem to matter how much or little I work out, what I eat or don't eat or how much or little I eat, I am stuck in the same three pound range. Sigh...:(

183.6 lbs

But I cheated this morning and hit the scale after my ride, still nice to see what is possible!

Back down 1/4 pound, to 131-1/4. Not too bad, especially since I went on a club dinner ride to Chipotle!

Boy, one week of not much exercise and eating whatever I want and I'm up more than a pound. 120.8 this morning. I'd better sign up for another race...

A cold and cough have kept me from exercising for about two weeks, and I'm bummed out. Plus, during my physical exam this week, my doctor gave me an ultimatum to lose weight. So, no more "playing around" for me. As for my weight this week . . . no change. I'll be out of town for the next two weeks, so won't be able to report in, unfortunately.

Still 142 - no progress but at least I stopped gaining. I had to actually increase my calories because I was exercising so much. weights twice a week, spin class 3 times a week, yoga once a week and two bike rides a week of no less than 25 miles each.

I also have been on a beta-blocker medication for 10 years, that I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know why I was on it. It kept my heart rate low. I fired my old doctor and hired a new one who has since removed me from 4 prescription meds that I have taken for a long time including a blood pressure medication and the beta blocker with no ill result. In fact, I have more energy now than I have for years and I am on the high-side of 50 close to kissing 60 years old. And my b.p. is normal!

Now my body is just starting to learn how to function properly without the meds and I remember that I have to eat the calories that I work off. By the next challenge I will get it together!

143.1 yesterday morning... still pretty much where I started. I was (hopefully from water retention!) over 146 last weekend though, yikes. So at least I'm finally heading back down.

I'm currently on vacation without a trusting scale in sight, and I feel a binge coming on :o

The scale I found, well, I think it lies. For example, last night, I weighed in at 175.5. This morning, 168.8, and then I tried it 2 seconds later, and I was at 172.5. I'll just have to wait till Im back at home on tuesday to get an accurate weigh in!
