Yup. As one of my co-workers delicately put it after examining my knee "Age related degeneration."

I didn't know it had a name... crepitus???
LOL - I read crapitus... thinking yeah... pretty cr*ppy! It sucks...
I don't get the noises when I bike, but walking up and down stairs or hills and you can def hear my knees... like a ratchet set grinding...
No pain though, just the weird "workshop" noise![]()
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
For me it is when I am sitting on the floor and get up. CRUNCH! I sounds awful! Thank god it is not really loud I might disturb my yoga class!

Oh yeah... I know this one. Mine is from a torn meniscus. Sounds like crunching potato chips when I go up and down stairs. It's an old skiing injury that they can fix but it doesn't bother me much and thankfully cycling doesn't flare it up.
