    Your big thigh...shorts?

I can't find shorts that fit my waist but don't make my legs look like sausages. Have 2 older pairs from New York and Company that are fantastic (stylishly short but not mini-shorts) but they have changed their fit and now my butt is too big. Or else the old shorts stretched to fit my butt as it got bigger and the new ones don't seem to want to.

Anyway...help? I can wear shorts to the office - and while I could probably even get away with just wearing running shorts, I spend enough time in them already, so I'd like to get some nice khaki ones or something.

    Thanks!!!

While you search for the new perfect shorts, maybe a taylor or someone who likes making clothes can make you a custom pair, using the ones you like as a model? You can probably find some very nice fabrics.

I really like the Mile Hi short from Isis. You might check Altrec's website; I think they're on sale. They have a tab in the waistband that allows you to tighten or loosen them a bit. They're otherwise cut a little more generously in the thigh and seat.

I have a pair of Prana shorts that I really love (I'm wearing them right now). they are stretch cotton with a drawstring waist. They are sorta casual, but less so than denim. I have a relatively small waist next to my bubble butt and big quads.

I have the same problem. Recently, I found these and love them. They are prints and I wish they came in solids, though. I did have to size up 1 size from my regular size (usually 8, bought 10, super comfy). Pretty sure I'm going to buy all the other patterns, I have the darker blue/black/purple ones.
