    Hey Everyone ,
I've been doing all kinds of reading about bikes etc and I'm as confused as ever....I've gone to a couple of local bike shops and some have been helpful others have not...so here it goes...I hope someone can give me input etc...
I'm thinking of getting a Giant Boulder as my starter bike,,,I want something that I can ride light trails w/my husband and also go riding for long distances....I've been told this would be a good starter bike....
Any reccomendations for euquipment? I live in CO and we have had some decent days when the weather hasn't been to bad to go for a ride...
    Thanks for the help,
    Squeeky

    Hey,
The Boulder I'm looking at is an older model....so I don't think it is as nice as the one that is on the website...Anyone have reccomendations for jackets? I've seen alot of them and want to get one that will keep me warm this winter...

Welcome. That sounds like a good bike. In wiinter I use regular shorts with winter leg warmers or running tights over them. My winter coat is a gore wear neoprene that I love. Its not super heavy but its wind and waterproof so I layer underneath it. I think what Muirenn is right on plus I would look at goodwill and resale shops. Last month I found a pearl izumi jersey for $6 and last week found a brand new pearl izumi winter jacket for$30. If you have a performance bike store near you id check them out as well because they have an amazing return policy. Happy riding and send us pics of your new bike!
I like bikes, sometimes more than my husband
