    hungry??

Anybody else hungry all the time? Seems like every time I do an exceptionally hard ride, or like this week--try a big hill for the first time, I'm starving for two days! I eat and two hours later-starving again! I'm trying to fill up on healthy food because I would actually like to lose a few more pounds, not gain!

Yep, we're often quite ravenous for a few days after a longer than usual ride.

I just saw the title of the thread: "Hungry??" and I said: "YES!!!"

    I cycle, therefore I eat.

    Often.

I have a small stomach so there is only so much I can put in there in a given meal. So I end up eating 5 meals a day or so. It's supposed to be better to have five smaller meals than three huge ones anyway, so I don't think it's a problem.

Take advantage of the situation to discover new types of food and eat as healthily as you can, it will make you feel even better! Enjoy!!

YES! When I ride a lot it seems like I can never eat enough, and we eat quite a bit of veggies & fruit which don't stick with me long, so I seem to always be eating!

Yesterday morning after my century Sat, we ate at a restaurant for breakfast, I ate a WHOLE stuffed full of meat, cheeze and peppers omelet

I wasn't stuffed either! but I only ate a few pretzels near lunch and nothing again until around 6:00pm, all that protein and fat filled me up and really stuck with me. That is why I did well on Atkins I am going to go back on Atkins for a few days since the century is over and get off the carb craving, I know now that I can do it the low fat way, veggie burgers for me.

I am ALWAYS hungry when I finish a ride, I get lightheaded/headachey when I don't each soon enough after a ride. Just make sure you eat proteins.

What about the other problem? When you know you've eaten bad stuff all day? Do you just ride more? after the fact?
