I feel compelled (years after this thread) to mention that although Park Ave Bike has two locations, one location is FAR SUPERIOR. The Monroe Ave (where the people with money in Rochester go) location has very poor customer service and many of their salespeople do not know what they are talking about. Believe me, they do not act like a LBS at the Monroe location because they don't need to. Tons of customers looking to buy expensive toys there so they have no incentive to do a great job.
On the other hand, the Henrietta location is INCREDIBLE. Everyone from the manager to the bike mechanics to the salespeople know their stuff and they will take you seriously whether you're a beginner or very serious about cycling. I am so glad I had Glenn fit me and readjust my bike as well as measure me for a new saddle - it made a huge difference. As a side note all of the bikes sold at the Monroe location are actually built at the Henrietta location because they have a much bigger warehouse. If you want to test out bikes you'd be better off going to Henrietta where they will either have the bikes built already or build them for you to test out.
Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, and do whatever you want all the time, you could miss it.
