    Smile My Husband’s Portrait!

My DH has been after me for some time to do a portrait of him. I told him I was only comfortable drawing and painting wildlife, but finally relented when he put on his best “cowboy gear”. I had a lot of fun doing the portrait in pastels - one of my favorite mediums. Thought you would like to see another of my art projects - feedback welcome!

Nice! Just think of him as local "wildlife!"

Did he pose while you did it or did you do from a photo? If you did it from photo, would love to see the painting and photo next to one another.

    Very cool....you are so talented!!!

Love how the eyes come across. Like he has a terrific sense of humor!

Pastel -could you give a closer shot of the portrait? The whole effect of the medium for the portrait is sharp in detail. Lucky you, to feel so comfortable working in pastel.
