    September 15th rides!

I rode with the LBS group and despite getting soaked at the first half it was great. There were some real speedy guys in the group and only one other gal so I stayed with her and what would be the B group.

We pushed hard for the first half and dropped one guy and then we were starting to drop another guy that was trying to use it as a recovery ride so we backed off and I got to chat with this other gal.

She asked me if I raced and I told her I was new and we chatted and long story short she offered to train with me. Her SO is like my BF and not as fast/ strong but she is recovering from a wreck where she broke her elbow and wrist.

I am so excited about training with someone more at my level (even though once again everyone is telling me I need to spin more) .

Also found out about a Sat ride that is easy going for 35 miles. Since I am hoping to do my first century in Oct, I think this would be a good thing to do.

Anyway we did 28 miles averaging 20mph.

I went to a women's only mountain bike ride, probaly did 5 miles. After having a great ride Sunday I had a so-so one yesterday. I did do this crazy hill I have never gone down, it looks worse than it is but I is not that easy either. Then after that victory, I crashed. Nothing bed just more like fell over, onto decent size rocks no less, I have TONS of bruises. They are really bad on my butt, hip, back of thigh, lower thigh, other lower thigh, calf. I am still considering hitting that trail again tonight with my husband. I was going to go on a road ride but he left with the bike pump in his truck. We need to buy another pump I think.

Just a quick 25km for me. A one-way commute to pick up my kids and the van whom/which my partner had left in town in the morning.
Downhill all the way - yeah baby
