    Saddle cutout question

I hate to add one more saddle question, but I am hoping all of you knowledgable ladies can help me narrow the choices before I start trying them out.

I currently ride an old Terry butterfly saddle(6 years old). It worked great when I had it on my hybrid, is not quite as wonderful now on my road bike, and it is probably due to be replaced just from age. I have adjusted everything to where it is not too bad, but if I am going to build up any longer mileage, I really need to find something more comfortable.

My specific need: It seems like the cutout on the Terry needs to be just a little longer towards the front of the seat and a little bit wider. The very front part of my lady bits are sore after the ride like they are rubbing against the front of the cuttout. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you are happy with the basic dimensions of the Terry, then start from there. It sounds like you might like perhaps a Specialized saddle which comes in three sizes to fit your sit bones. Go to a shop with the infamous butt-o-meter and get measured. Then look for a cutout. Selle Italia lady gel flow is also very popular as well. Unfortunately its trail and error. I actually find mens saddles better for me.
