    Terry saddles Liberator/Butterfly etc

    HI!

I have a Liberator race on my mtb which I love. I did my first 24 hour race last year and had NO issues. SO I figured I'd give it a try on my road bike. I bought the gel version of the same saddle. Apparently, my riding position is different - because this saddle seems HARD and hurts my sit bones I like the narrow nose and the large cutout - should I try the butterfly or is that going in the wrong direction (I know it's wider in the back)?

    THANKS for your input!

For me, the Terry Butterfly is too soft for my road bike. I don't like the squishiness of it. However, I recently switched from my Vitesse to the Terry Zero X and I love it. I did have to tweak my shorts though. I had some Craft shorts and a lot of pressure and sit bone issues with the Terry. But with Giordana Laser and Assos Lady shorts I can ride all day and not have any issues. I've found that saddles with cutouts put more pressure on the sit bones and require a better chamois. HTH!
