My best friend just called with shocking news.
Her nephew who lives in Northern california was driving last night and ran into a gas main. He's car caught on fire and he is in a burn unit right now with 20% burn's. We don't know much more then this and if it is even accurate info since he's mom was upset when she called. His mom got the phone call early this morning and is rushing to the hospitol right now. We just don't know all the details. We are praying it is not that bad and that his lungs are ok.
Please send good thoughts his was. He's name is Ryan.

I am. I am afraid I have so much to do today before we leave tomorrow for our job it will keep my mind busy. But when i do think of him i will be thinking positive thoughts.

I've been on the receiving end of something very similar.

My thoughts are always with someone who is about to learn what it means to be a burn survivor. It can change your life in a good way, but it's a hard won lesson.
