What a great website! Thank you for posting this.
I need me some "Yield to Life" bumperstickers: http://www.yieldtolife.org/support#your to put on my motor vehicle.

I'm sure that those of you with subscriptions to Bicycling saw this, but I thought I would stick it on here for those who hadn't yet.
Dave Z is certainly Da MAN, isn't he?!

How wonderful -- good for Dave Z!
Hopefully he'll have it set up soon to accept donations via Paypal, though. It's so tedious to have to mail checks in in this day and age. Great cause!

Wow, thanks for posting this! I've finally had it with Bicycling Magazine, so I wouldn't have seen this.

Wow! this is great! I'd read the article but hadn't yet pulled up the website. I'm so excited about this. This is kinda like lance getting behind cancer research and survivorship.
Share the Road initiatives have never had a big name out there promoting them and honestly some of the hammerheads are the ones who give cyclists a bad name.
So what Dave has done will give the Share the Road initiatives a central focus and hopefully some media attention. From what I see on the website, the issue is treated well and with the view of both motorists and cyclists giving respect to one another.
I'm excited and wish I had $300 to give but for right now I'll sign up at the $35 level.
WTG! Dave!

This is great! I am especially fond of #10 on the motorist list: "Try it, You’ll Like it"!
Sometimes, though, I feel like the people who really need to head these instructions will just never get it![]()
Ride safe, ladies!
Same here. I keep thinking of cancelling my subscription to Bicycling, but then they go and include something like this and I feel that I'll miss these things if I don't keep receiving the rag, er, mag.
Dave Z seems to be truly awesome. I've read about his accidents before, but this one line made me realize just how much he's accomplished since then:
Makes his TdF TT win a couple years ago seem even more miraculous. Can't wait to see him in argyle... I would have not been reduced to a wheelchair for months, and then in need of a walker and painful rehabilitation to even walk again, let alone ride a bike.![]()

"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."
