Let's hear some of your favorite cycling quotes. Or post one that applies to your situation. Here's one that totally defines my ride on Sunday.

On the way out I was flying—big ring even on the big climbs! It felt great! I was really surprised how great I felt because I mountain biked on Saturday and my legs should have been kind of dead. So I get to the turn-around point and instantlyI feel like I'm riding with lead legs! So was it a tail wind on the way out? Ummm, no… I'm going to say that it was flat, calm and I was just master of the bike for half the ride. Then, coincidentally, the moment I turned around, the gusts picked up!

Here's one of many quotes I like -

"Bicycling is the nearest approximation I know to the flight of birds._ The airplane simply carries a man on its back like an obedient Pegasus; it gives him no wings of his own._" ~Louis J. Helle, Jr., Spring in Washington

    Ride with wings, ladies!

I've been climbing a lot lately so I'll quote Richard Virenque:

" You feel the pain, but you're glad to be there."

    Yeah baby

You've probably all read this one, but here is is anyway. Very appropriate for a womens' cycling site.......

"I'll tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than any one thing in the world. I rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a bike. It gives her a feeling of self-reliance and independence the moment she takes her seat; and away she goes, the picture of untrammelled womanhood."

Annie thanks for the Susan B. quote.

My personal take? The three most important inventions for women:

    1. Birth control pills

    2. Jog-bras

    3. The bicycle

    (not in any particular order)

that is the most hilarious censoring I've ever seen on a board.

Substitute an asterisk for one letter

    Emily D*ckinson

    that should work.
